Since graduating from St. Thomas the Apostle Dates to Remember school and after graduating from Marist High School, I pursued an activity I have always February 26 wanted to do since I was younger. I started Black History Month Dress Down acting. I began by taking improv classes at the Revival in Hyde Park, Chicago Day Community Actors Program at The University of Chicago, and at the Black March 5 Ensemble Theater. Given my interest in becoming a television actor, I applied Parent Teacher Conferences and was selected to join several television productions at Chicago’s Cinespace - Studios located on the west side. I have been featured in several television shows E-Learning Day for all students and a Disney movie. The shows were: Empire, The CHI, and Chicago PD. My dreams are coming true! Lastly, I produced a children’s play/musical at St. March 12 Thomas that was held during the annual 2019 Christmas celebration. Graduation Photo Retakes What I have also been doing is engaging my Hyde Park and Bronzeville communities. I volunteer with Mr. Wallace Goode of the Hyde park Chamber of March 18 Commerce and a local small business incubator known as the Bronzeville Virtual Parent Coffee at 6 pm Incubator or Boxville located on 51st Street near King Drive avenue. I support the Hyde Park Chamber by working on the events that promote small businesses in April 1 the areas. While at Boxville, Chicago's first shipping container mall, I volunteer Early Registration Deadline ——————–———————— for their community food hand out events and coordinate their summer outreach events for youth. Lastly, I work with local Alderman like Sophia King, Leslie STA’s Website: Hairston, Stephanie Coleman, Pat Dowell and multiple youth councils. www.stapostleschool.com One of my greatest achievements to date has been winning a 2020 art contest sponsored by the South East Chicago Commission (SECC) and the Woodlawn Follow STA on Social Media! community. Join Us! informed his parish priest that he wanted to be a priest. Told by the priest that he was not even a Catholic, young Wilton Gregory responded with a question that began a most amazing journey: “Then what do I have to do?” He became a Catholic. He went to the seminary for 12 years. He made a stop as a deacon in Park Ridge. He was ordained a priest. He served in Glenview. He then lived in earning his doctoral degree. Upon his return, he was a professor at the seminary from which he was ordained. He was ordained a bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago. A few years after that, he became Bishop of Belleville, Illinois. He was elected by his brother bishops to be President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He was called to serve as Archbishop of Atlanta, Georgia, and currently he serves as Archbishop of Washington, D.C. Stations of the Cross Fridays during Lent at 6pm - Please use Sign-up Genius to reserve space for you and your family

We will be praying the Stations of the Cross on the Friday’s in Lent at 6pm. We hope you can join us for this ancient church prayer that began in the fourth century, when pilgrims were first openly able to go to Jerusalem and walk in the footsteps of Jesus on Good Friday. The Stations of the Cross in the form we know best are of comparatively recent vintage in Church terms, dating back to the year the U.S. Constitution was ratified. Devotions to the Way of the Cross began in earnest after 1342, when the Franciscan friars were given custody of the holy sites in the Holy Land. The Franciscans have been closely identified with the devotion ever since. The number of stations varied widely, with some manuals of devotion listing as many as 37! The term "stations" in describing the Way of the Cross was first used in the narrative of an English pilgrim, William Wey, who visited the Holy Land twice in the 15th century. In 1731, Pope Clement XII allowed all churches to have stations and fixed the number at 14, where it has been ever since.
