HOMILY Bishop Boland PROFESSION OF FAITH AND OATH OF FIDELITY Bishop-Elect Hartmayer will stand before the altar and face the people to publicly profess his fidelity to the Catholic Church, all of its teachings, and his fidelity and loyalty to the Holy Father. The Oath that is taken is canonically and morally binding on the Bishop.
