5 / 6 / 8 Days Historical Xi An Ancient City Wall Huaqing Pool Huashan Language Available: Mandarin 5 Days Tour Day 1: Arrival at Xi An Meet and greet by our friendly guide upon arrival to Xian Xianyang International Airport. Transfer will be provided to hotel for Check-in. Rest of the day will be free at leisure. Gao’s Courtyard Day 2: Xi An – Gao’s Grand Courtyard in Xi An (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) After breakfast, proceed to Gao’s Grand Courtyard in Xi An. It was built in 14 years of the reign of emperor Chongzhen, Ming Dynasty, the whole courtyard is about 2310 square meters. The construction of the courtyard is a quadrangle made of wood and brick. We will be watching a traditional shadow puppet show which wins the heat of the audience by its lingering music, exquisite sculpture, brisk color and lively performance. Shadow puppetry was very popular during the Tang and Song Dynasties in many parts of China. Following, we will explore The Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Ming Dynasty City Wall, Bell and Drum Tower Square (we won’t be making our way upstairs) and Xi An antique snack street where you will taste famous Xi An dumpling dinner. Day 3: Xi An – Lintong District – Huaqing Pool (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) After breakfast, head to the famous Terracotta Army grounds which is the most significant archeologicak Small Wild Goose Pagoda excav ations if the 20th century. The site is around 1.5 kilometers east of Emperor Qing Shi Huang’s Mausoleum in Lintong, Xian, Shaanxi Province. Life size terracotta figures of warriors and horses arranged in battle formations are the star features at the museum. They are replicas of what the imperial guard should look like in those days of pomp and vigor. Next, proceed to Huaqing Pool, a complex of hotsprings located un an area characterized by mid weather and scenic views at the northern foot of Mount Li and taste Shaanxi’s famous Biangbiang noodles. Day 4: Xi An – Datang Xishi Silk Road Cultural Scenic Region (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) Today, explore Datang Xishi Silk Road Cultural Scenic Region, a places filled with the olden Silk Road’s Culture, History and Life. The street concentrates China, Kyrgyztan. Uzbekistan, Korea, India and many Big Wild Goose Pagoda more countries ’unique local produces. Feel free to indulge in the different traditional local snacks available here! Next, take a look at the beautiful exterior of Xi An Big Wild Goose Pagoda which is a well- preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. It is located in the southern Suburb of Xi An City, about 4 kilometers from the downtown of the city. Then proceed to Big Wild Goose Pagoda North Square where a spectacular musical fountain can be found. Dinner will be a local delicacy of mini steamboat style dinner. Day 5: Depart from Xi An (Breakfast) After breakfast, free at leisure until time for departure to the airport for your flight back home. Huaqing Pool 6 Days Tour (Day 1 - 4 itinerary follows as 5 Days Tour) Day 5: Xi An – YuanJiaCun (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) Explore Guanzhong Folk Art Museum – YuanJiaCun, the leading center for the study and enjoyment of Shaanxi folk art, as well as the work of Chinese Folk Artists. Then, head to Mingqing Street, an ancient city Yuan Jia Cun which was established in the centre of Shaanxi Province, and is well-known for the local resident houses of the famous Shaanxi. Today the ancient Mingqing Street is home to the biggest antique market in the province. All kinds of trading takes place along the street. In addition to souvenirs, tourists will enjoy sampling some of the numerous local snacks offered in there including noodle, specially seasoned beef, as well as tasty Wantuo. It is a perfect place to discover the antique charm of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Day 6: Depart from Xi An (Breakfast) After breakfast, free at leisure until time for departure to the airport for your flight back home. 8 Days Tour Mingqing Street (Day 1 - 5 itinerary follows as 6 Days Tour) Day 6: Xi An – Huashan (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) After breakfast, proceed to exploring Huashan (exclude transport into Huashan: Cable towards north peak 150RMB, transport into the mountains 40RMB). Huashan is 120 kilometers (about 75 miles) from Xi An. It is famous for natural vista of steep and narrow paths, precipitous crags and a high mountain range. Its five peaks are the representative attractions and each has its distinctive charms: East Peak is the best place to enjoy sunrise, South Peak has the highest altitude, West Peak is the most elegant and North Peak is famous as the Cloud Terrace Peak and the Middle Peak is also called Jade Lady Peak. The mountain is also home to several influential Taoist Temples, where many emperors of the past dynasties took part in Taoist activities and sacrificed to the god of mountain, making it a holy land of Taoism. For lunch, you will be having the delicious Huashan Steam Chicken Soup, before heading back to Xi An. Day 7: Xi An – Qianling (Breakfast/Lunchy/Dinner) After breakfast, proceed to Famen Temple (exclude Buggy Ride 30RMB), renowned for storing the veritable Finger Bone of the Sakyamuni Buddha. The Famen Temple Cultural Scenic Area comprises four sectors including the Temple Gate Square, Foguang Avenue, Famen Temple, and the Namaste Dagoba. Upon completion the scenic area will be the “No.2 Cultural Symbol of Shaanxi”, second only to the Terra- Huashan Cotta Warriors and horses. Following, we will go to Qianling Mausoleum which is a Tang Dynasty tomb site located in Qian Country, Shaanxi province and view the wonderful terracotta art then head back to Xi An. Day 8: Depart from Xi An (Breakfast) After breakfast, free at leisure until time for departure to the airport for your flight back home.
