Chandigarh University (CU) is a Private University accredited with A+ Grade by NAAC. The university has a total student strength of 13,221 with more than 5,500 female students across all departments. There are 16 departments in total offering many specializations in undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses. Admission to these courses is granted on the basis of score in CUCET examinations conducted at the university’s level. The university has emerged as one of the top universities in terms of placement and is also recognized and acknowledged by various organizations for its high placement record. With more than 691 Multi-Nationals visiting CU Campus in 2018-19, the number of offers touched 6617 and the highest package has registered a growth of 30%, scaling to a new high of INR 35 LPA.

Latest Update: Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal has launched National Level Entrance Cum Scholarship Test, CUCET 2021 on January 22. Chandigarh University is offering academic scholarships worth INR 33 crores to students in more than 135 Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate programs offered by the University; where students can avail merit-based scholarships for remission in academic fees up to 100% on the basis of CUCET-2021 scores. Student can fill the CUCET 2021 online application form and can appear online with the flexibility to choose his or her date and time slot. CUCET 2021 would be conducted in two phases where the first phase would run from December 2020 to May 2021.

Chandigarh University also has its own Distance Education Programme which offers several affordable and best in class distance education courses to students who, for various reasons, may find it difficult to attend regular college and require some flexibility. Chandigarh University Admission

In order to apply for admission at Chandigarh University, candidates must follow a few simple steps. Firstly, the candidate should log in to the official website of Chandigarh University by generating a user ID and password. Upon logging in, the candidate must fill in the necessary details after choosing their CUCET Phase. Once the details are filled in, the candidate must select their discipline of interest and program. After this, the student’s profile will be created. With the registration complete, the student should receive a confirmation message of registration through email/SMS. Students can then download the prospectus and proceed to pay the course fee online.

From 6th semester the students will be eligible for campus placements. The top MNCs like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart etc. But there will be 100% placements to every student. The highest package is 34.25 lakhs per annum and the average will be like 8-12 lakhs per annum. My plan is after getting the degree is to do an MBA.

Placement Scenario in CU was pretty good. Although the UNI did not attract all the top level multi nationals, there were some really great companies. All of the students apply for them. About 20 to 30 percent of the students who apply for placements got in with some company or the other. Some major recruiters were companies like TCS, Amazon, IBM, ICICI, AMAZON etc. I suppose it wasn't a really bad one with all these companies.
