The competition will start to provide additional junior players from S2 upwards. Andy the clubs head coach will be speaking with players about the opportunity to be part of the squad. There will be twelve fixtures . The club will be ordering new match kit which will be subsidised from club funds for representative players. Order forms will be circulated before the end of the season. LOREBURN HALL / DG ONE LEISURE COMPLEX SESSION TIMES AND SPACE As most of you will know our move from DG One to Loreburn Hall was scheduled to last only 4-5 months. We agreed with Dumfries and Galloway Council to cope with smaller court space and adjust our training sessions to suit a temporary fix. However the situation has arisen where our stay at the Loreburn Hall will continue indefinitely (at the moment). We are working with Dumfries and Galloway Council to enable access to full court size and enable the session abilities to be matched, which in turn will provide greater benefit to all players young and old. The coaching team has been taking a review of players over the past few weeks and will hope to announce the squad structure for our prolonged stay at Loreburn Hall. We would ask that for the first session back in August all players attend at the times they are currently training. Letters will be issued with new times and squads. Please note we are unable to confirm squad levels for next year due to waiting on confirmation of space at Loreburn hall. We apologise for the disruption the temporary changes have had, however these have been outwith our control. www.pitchero.com/clubs/dumfriesbluesnetballclub June 15 BACK to NETBALL The Back to Netball recreational sessions have been a great success. The sessions supported by Awards for All Lottery funding has run for 8 months. There have been over 30 different people attending with an average of 12 attending most weeks. We will be retaining this session and hope to see further growth in what is a fun, social and entertaining session on Fridays at Loreburn Hall. The club are currently working with Netball Scotland and are likely to join up with the “Bounce Back to Netball” initiative for sessions starting from late August. HOLYWOOD TRUST – DEVELOPMENT COACH The club have received funding from the Holywood Trust to recruit and pay for a Netball Development Coach / Co-ordinator.
