The Mark of the Beast Part 11 In the last teaching segment we looked at Revelation 13:17-18 and then translated 18 correctly. Revelation 13:18: “Here is a riddle. Let him that hath understanding determine or decide the multitude of the beast: for it is the multitude of man; and the multitude is marked by Satan in the name of Allah or bismallah to serve.” That is the correct and rightly divided translation when you understand all of God’s Word concerning the mark of the beast. Now I want to pick up from that point and go to Revelation 14:9 where it mentions the mark of the beast again. “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:” I am not going to go into if this “third angel” is an angel or not at this point. That is not the purpose of this message. “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark”—which we covered in chapter 13 and incidentally includes the false prophet also—“in his forehead, or in his hand, The same...”—the people that receive this mark and worship the Beast, the last evil empire in God’s Word, the 8th Beast Islam; anyone that bows down to Islam either by worship or wearing that mark, period. No confusion there. —“The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation [or again wrath] ; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the holy Lamb:” “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever”. Does that mean forever and ever? Now, that is another subject and I am not saying it does and I am not saying it does not, but does it? Oh! I know what Christian belief propaganda preaches, but they never really go into too much detail about that, whether it is this verse or other verses, do they? Is that forever and ever? “What are you saying! You are upsetting my world again.” Good. I will come back to that. “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” Hum. They are going to have the smoke of their torment sent up forever and ever (whatever that means) and they have no rest day nor night who, worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Whether it means forever and ever is not the point right now, but we know they are going to have some torment because of who they follow now. So what is this wrath of God? And what does it mean by “they shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his wrath [literally]; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb...”? Go to Jeremiah 25:15. Here we have the cup of wrath for the nations. What nations? We are going to find out here in a minute. “For thus saith the Lord GOD of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.” Cause all the nations... Does that mean everyone, every single nation on this earth? Read it again slowly: “and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.” So what God is saying is, Where I am sending you (and He is going to give instructions in the verses that follow), that is who is going to drink this cup referred to in Revelation 14, “The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his wrath”. “Well, didn’t this happen after Nebuchadnezzar and all those other evil kings and kingdoms?” No, and the reason why is given to us in Jeremiah 25:27, “Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spew, and fall,”—and here are the key words and it checks out in the original—“and rise no more”. Circle those words: ‘and rise no more’. That has not happened to any of these nations that I am going to show you in a few moments with a map that comes straight out of Jeremiah 25. That has not happened because these nations throughout the course of time, including at this present time, have risen and they are gaining strength. So if this prophecy was already fulfilled and came to pass during Jeremiah’s time or after, then God did not keep His Word because they did rise again. Verse 27 says “and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.” There is the conflict. Either God’s Word is true or it is not. Either it is believable or it is not. Some scholars interested in writing commentaries have misinterpreted these scriptures and bring so much confusion into the mindset of the Christian world. This has not happened yet, folks. We can tie in Jeremiah 25. Even prior to this, in this same chapter, he talks about the 70 years of desolation they would go through; so this would happen even after that period. In this case, many many centuries after that 70 years of desolation took place. Understand? Let’s go back to verse 16, “And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad”. Who? The ones that He causes to drink it according to verse 15. Then if you tie it in with Revelation 14, we know this has to pertain to Islam somehow. If this chapter and these scriptures in this chapter are related somehow to Revelation 14, which I am saying they are, do the areas that God says are going to drink the cup match up with present day Islam and the 8th Beast? Let’s look and see if we can confirm that. Verse 16: “And they shall drink, and be moved”. They are going to drink this cup of wrath “and be moved, and be mad…” Literally be driven to insanity, folks. If you think the Islamic world is not insane, then I do not know how to define what insanity is. Not just driven insane and be mad but they shall drink, and be moved, and be insane or come to a place of insanity to the point they are going to be boasting about what they are insane about. Literally in the Hebrew, they are going to be boasting about what they went insane over, Muhammad and his Koran which codified Islam. “Yeah? I don’t make that connection yet.” Well, I figured you would be stubborn and cantankerous no matter how much I show off God’s Word to be proven true. Sometimes I do not know what you need to be convinced, but in case you still need to be convinced let me keep convincing you with God’s Word and how it verifies itself because we are speaking of the cup of wrath, both in Revelation 14 and now introduced here in Jeremiah 25. “And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the sword [really the mouth of the sword] that I will send among them. Then took I the cup at the LORD’S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me.” Like it or not, these nations are going to drink this cup of anger, this wrath that is coming! God will have the last word. The day of vengeance is coming, folks. “But what about disobedient people, not followers of Jesus Christ, but are not part of Islam?” Their day is coming also but let’s stay focused on what God is speaking of here. “Then took I the cup at the LORD’S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me: To wit, [scratch out to wit, that was added by the translator] Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse; as it is this day.” That is a loaded verse but most read right through it. I believe this pertains to a certain section of Jerusalem and a certain area of Judah, what consists of Judah. Unless you break it down in the Hebrew and understand it is tied in with Revelation 14, you will miss the unbelievable riches in this verse that points to where we are now, folks. “thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse; as it is [scratch out it is] this day.” This is how that latter part should be translated: a place laid with desolation.
