Abstract. The strength of scientific and technological innovation is an important criterion to measure the comprehensive strength of a country. Improving the strength of scientific and technological innovation is an important part of improving the country's comprehensive national strength and enhancing its international voice. As an important part of the national scientific research team, universities play an important role in improving the national technological innovation strength. This paper constructs an evaluation index system for the technological innovation ability of colleges in Jiangxi Province, and selects 34 universities in Jiangxi Province as samples, and uses factor analysis and SPSS23 statistical analysis software to analyze the technological innovation capabilities of the sample universities. The results show that the overall input and output capacity of technological innovation is relatively low, which is far behind that of universities in other developed provinces, especially key universities. 1. Introduction As an important part of the national technology innovation system, universities undertake the functions of integrating, creating, processing, and disseminating knowledge, producing high-tech achievements, promoting high-tech industrialization, transforming scientific and technological achievements, and cultivating a large number of technological innovation talents.

  • Red Army Health Services in Jiangxi and on the Long March, 1927–1936
CHAPTER THREE RED ARMY HEALTH SERVICES IN JIANGXI AND ON THE LONG MARCH, 1927–1936 The way to consolidate these bases is, first, to construct adequate defenses, second, to store sufficient grain and, third, to set up comparatively good Red Army hospitals. The Party in the border area must strive to perform these three tasks effectively. —Mao Zedong, October 19281 This chapter examines the Red Army healthcare practices that took shape in Jiangxi in the largest of the early Chinese Communist base areas, and during the Long March. Although the Jiangxi base area was tiny compared with the areas for which the Nationalist government’s National Health Administration was responsible, its problems were comparable to those of the much larger NHA areas. They included epidemic diseases, malnutri- tion, lack of hygiene and sanitation, reliance on gods for relief from dis- ease, lack of biomedically trained individuals, and policies often adverse to the welfare of soldiers and ordinary people. There were some stark differences however. Red Army command- ers and healthcare leaders were forced by their small numbers and precarious circumstances to learn the importance of preserving lives. Five campaigns with Nationalist armies put a premium on treating and returning soldiers to the front, which worked until the fifth Nationalist encirclement campaign overwhelmed the Communists. The Red Army mobilized Chinese medicine physicians and pharmacists and enlisted individuals trained in Christian medical schools and mission hospitals, and others who had received medical training in Moscow, to develop highly mobile medical and preventive health delivery systems. It also managed to organize workshops to supply medical and herbal products, and created training programs for physicians and health care aides.

(2) Enzymatic production of value-added products (e.g., functional proteins, peptides, oligosaccharides, etc.). (3) Aqueous extraction of oil and protein from seeds assisted with enzymes. (4) Application of pulsed electrical fields and high hydrostatic pressure in food processing and their effect on food quality. Several novel technologies have been industrialized and commercialized. (1) Enzymatic production of xylooligosaccharides The invented enzymatic production of xylooligosaccharide technology won the China Patent Excellence Award and the Jiangsu Provincial Patent Gold Award. The technology has achieved multiple transfers, and the purity of xylooligosaccharide product can reach 99%. (2) Enzymatic production of soybean and peanut peptides The production line of peanut peptide by enzymatic hydrolysis has been built in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, and the production is already on the market. (3) Aqueous extraction of oil from seeds In 2014, the world's first ethanol-assisted water method to produce camellia seed oil was built in Ruijin, Jiangxi Province.

The study of cross-administrative LUI in urban agglomerations is of great importance for the sustainable development of land, new urbanization, and territorial spatial planning. In this study, the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in China was used as the case study area to explore the spatial spillover effect through the administrative division, underlying driving mechanism, and spatial interactions or constraints of LUI. First, LUI was measured using the index of the proportion of construction land to the total area of the administrative region. Second, the adjacency relationship of the county-level administrative units was identified on the basis of the queen-type adjacency criterion under the county-level administrative division system. Thereafter, spatial weight matrix for spatial modeling was constructed.
