Then I have received notices from Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu and Shrimati Ranjeet Ranjan. Their subject is also different. It is about irregularities in the functioning of the PDS and also I have received notices from Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia and Shri K.C. Venugopal regarding some new evidence coming to light in respect of the release of Masrat Alam. All these notices are there. These subjects have already been discussed so many times in the House. That is why I am not allowing the Adjournment Motions. It is not necessary. But during the ‘Zero Hour’ you can raise the matters. 11.03.2015 12 SHRI M. VENKAIAH NAIDU: Madam, I have a submission to make. I have been in Parliament for a number of years. Any Member can definitely give a notice on an important issue. They can take up the matter with the Chair in her Chamber and then if the Chair permits, they can raise the issue in the House. TAMIL NADU Fossils at Perambalur ❖ More than 25 concretions (ammonium sediments) were found in Kunnam (Perambalur). ❖ The round-shaped Phosphatic nodules, called Uttatur potatoes, were also available in Kunnam and Karai areas. ❖ A fossilised tree and ammonite sediments were also found in Aanaivari stream in the area. ❖ The ammonite (ammonoids) was a large and diverse group of marine species ❖ It originated around 416 million years ago during the Devonian period. ❖ Ammonites survived three mass extinctions. ❖ Out of that, the Permian extinction is the most notable one ❖ It was a global warming brought on by volcanic activity about 252 million years ago. ❖ It killed 96 per cent of the planet’s marine species. ❖ Some years back, the Archaeological evidence suggests that dinosaurs lived in the Ariyalur area of Tamilnadu 6.5 billion years ago. ❖ But the remains of the eggs are rarely found. ❖ Earlier Ariyalur and Perambalur were submerged in the sea in present-day Tamil Nadu. ❖ Fossils in Kunnam might have formed about nine billion years ago when the depth of the sea was about 100 metres in the Turonian-Cenomanian Cretaceous period.

    OUR TRIP TO VIZAG AND ARAKKU VALLEY SARVESH CHANDRASEKARAN Class III, Good Earth School It was December Christmas vacations and my family, along with my cousin Vishwa went on trip to Vishkapatnam and Arakku valley. Since I am very fond of trains, my parents ensured that we went to most of the places by Indian railways. Arakku is a beautiful valley of the Eastern Ghats. There is a railway line that runs through these mountains to bring minerals to Vishakapatnam steel plant. We boarded the Coromandel Express, which goes along the east cost of India. We reached Vishakapatnam (short name Vizag) and stayed at the tourist resort in Tyada, which has a beautiful station and is on the way to Arakku valley (130km from Vizag). We proceeded to a very old cave called Bhora cave. In the Oriya language, Bhora means ‘hole’. The visit to the caves was very adventurous. From there, we proceeded to Arakku valley and saw houses built on trees. We saw the tribal museum, coffee, pepper plantations etc. The next day, we went trekking in Tyada. We then took a day's rest and proceeded to Vizag. We visited a submarine museum, Rushikonda beach and other scenic places. The submarine museum gave us a lot of information about the use of submarines to protect or country. We proceeded to Kakinada, a town ship by a two hour train journey from Vizag. We stayed with my aunt and uncle and came back to Chennai by Circar Express. It was a wonderful trip indeed and I learnt about the state of Andhra Pradesh.

One of the passengers in an e-ticket should carry proof of identification during the train journey. 3. Voter ID card/ Passport/PAN Card/Driving License/Photo Identity Card Issued by Central/State Government are the valid proof of identity cards to be shown in original during train journey. 4. The input for the proof of identity in case of cancellation/partial cancellation is also not required now. 5. RAMESH (CONTD.): Nellore, Chittoor and my own district Kadapa are affected with very heavy rains lashed out at Andhra Pradesh causing extensive damage to life and property. Sir, more than 40 people died and 150 villages are totally damaged. The flash floods coupled with unprecedented rains caused due to the low pressure in Bay of Bengal resulted in extensive damage. Sir, 86 cms. rain recorded in Nellore itself indicates the magnitude of the problem. Initial estimates indicate that the total losses have been calculated at more than Rs. 3,800 crores due to heavy rains. Now, again, heavy rains have started since yesterday. What the damage is we have to do a survey now. Floods caused extensive damage to crops in more than 2 lakh hectares and infrastructure, including 550 irrigation tanks and canals, roads, electricity and thousands of houses. Sir, there is a national highway six-lane from Kolkata to Chennai. That road has been damaged about five to six days. There is no traffic. The Chief Minister has sat there and immediately they have made that road temporarily and now the traffic is going on. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has also announced compensation to the affected families. But, compensation 2 Uncorrected/ Not for Publication-02.12.2015 is not a permanent solution.
