The driving forces are the external and internal pressures, such as demand from the public and society, from governments, stakeholders and shareholders, as well as from NGOs, activists, and the industry- intern economic competition between the airlines. Within the scope of this research, the main focus was on the research question: How can the variation in the claims of sustainable measures reported in the 2018 annual reports and sustainability reports by four different European airlines be explained from the characteristics of the airlines and of the countries in which the airlines are registered?. The ecosystem for the conducted analyses consists of four airlines from four different countries in the European Union. Seven sustainability parameters were chosen in order to objectively analyze the sustainability reporting of the airlines and of their countries of registrations. The parameters are: (I) alternative fuel, (II) CORSIA, (III) aviation tax, (IV) aircraft age, (V) aircraft design, (VI) Dow Jones Sustainability Index, and (VII) atmosfair Airline Index.

    OPERATIONS IN AIRSPACE CLASS E IN GERMANY BELOW FL100 RECOMMENDED BEST PRACTICES FOR COMMERCIAL OPERATORS The following best practices have been developed by flight safety officers and experts to enhance the safety of operations in airspace Class E below FL100 to prevent collisions between controlled and uncontrolled aircraft in a mixed traffic environment. Recommendations for training departments and pilots • IMPROVE AIRSPACE AWARENESS Train pilots to be aware of shortfalls in the existing airspace structure – annual training and NOT only by bulletin using two components: o Generic briefing on airspace Class E in Germany o Dedicated airport briefing documents o Include risk and threats in unprotected airspace in individual departure and arrival briefing • OPERATING RECOMMENDATIONS o FLY DEFENSIVELY! o Maintain Minimum Clean Airspeed or as slow as reasonable o Request to use protected airspace – minimise time in airspace Class E and refuse shortcuts if necessary. Most standard departures and approaches/transitions will facilitate this. o Descend according to airspace structure on arrival. (2) El Reglamento (CE) n.o 748/2009 de la Comisión (3) establece una lista de los operadores de aeronaves que han realizado una actividad de aviación enumerada en el anexo I de la Directiva 2003/87/CE el 1 de enero de 2006 o a partir de esta fecha.
