Inauguration of park named after Saint Mother Tereasa Uddyan and Biplobi Ullash Kar Shishu Uddyan: On April 24, 2017 Hon'ble MMIC (Parks & Gardens, Sports, Parking, Advertisement) Debasis Kumar inaugurated a park named after Saint Mother Tereasa Uddyan and Biplobi Ullash Kar Shishu Uddyan at 7 Murari Pukur Road , Kolkata -65. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Honourable presence of Chairman Borough -III Anindya Kishore Routh, KMC officials and other dignitaries. Hon'ble Councillor Ward no.-14 Amal Ckakraborty presided over the function. 13|Monthly Newsletter May2017 App on Mosquito –borne-diseases in collaboration with healthbuds Be Well The Health Department of KMC in collaboration with –healthbuds developed a first –of- its kind APP on mosquito-borne diseases free of cost . This is an exemplary initiative for prevention & control of mosquito borne diseases. The App will help people learn about all the basics of prevention and control of dengue, malaria etc. besides letting them know the addresses of all ward health units of KMC and the names of the health officials needed to be contacted at times of need. On May 16, 2017 Hon’ble Mayor Sovan Chatterjee launched Bengal’s first APP on Mosquito –Borne disease in the council chamber of KMC. Hon’ble Chairperson KMC Mala Roy, Hon’ble MMIC (Health) Atin Ghosh and other dignitaries were present in the programme Inauguration of newly remodeled park Eaikyatan Shisu Uddyan at Mahendra Banerjee Road in Ward No.129, Borough-XIV : In order to prevent the area from pollution on May 18, 2017 Hon’ble Mayor and MIC (Housing, Environment, Fire and Emergency Services) Govt. of W.B., Sovan Chatterjee inaugurated a newly remodeled park Eaikyatan Shisu Uddyan at Mahendra Banerjee Road in Ward No.129, Borough-XIV.     Delivering Citizen Services through KMC Mobile App The IT team at Kolkata Municipal Corporation has developed a Mobile Application named KMCApp, for Android handsets. The KMCApp may be available for free download and installation in individual mobile devices from KMC web portal and from Google Play Store as well. This Mobile App was inaugurated by Smt. Mamata Banerjee, Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal on 2nd March, 2015 in a function held in the Hindu Burial Ground.
