MANITOBA PROVINCIAL PARTY SUPPORT AND LEADERSHIP March 2021 Probe Research Omnibus Survey For More Key Findings Information: After becoming Manitoba's most popular political party in December, the NDP’s lead over the governing Progressive Conservatives continues to widen, according to a new Probe Research poll conducted for the Winnipeg Free Press. The opposition’s lead over the PCs province-wide has expanded to six percentage points. In Winnipeg, where many election campaigns are won or lost, the NDP has a 22-point advantage over the PCs. The NDP has gained much of its current strength from the province’s female voters (48% would now support the NDP), from younger Manitobans (46% of those under 35 favour the NDP) as well as from less affluent and more highly educated voters (48% among those earning less than $50,000 annually and 51% among those with completed post-secondary education). Seventeen per cent of all Manitobans surveyed are presently undecided. Scott MacKay Regionally, the PCs enjoy their greatest levels of support outside of Winnipeg (50% vs. 32% NDP). Within the President capital city itself, the governing party is now trailing in all regions of Winnipeg, including the southern suburbs. Nature Manitoba News Certainly an Important and Worthwhile Objective but It Has No Impact on Climate Change

We stayed for two nights, enjoying the beauty of our surroundings. Cooked rice, noodles, oatmeal and the like are the typical leftover food after a meal. There are varied opinions about what to do with such leftovers when The Voracious Creatures of Bain Lake canoeing in Shield Country. Packing out the remains of a meal is reasonable by Jerry Ameis if you are on a day trip. April 11, 2013 The Right Honourable Stephen Harper, P.C., B.A., M.A. Prime Minister of Canada House of Commons Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 0A2 Re: A Final Plea for Prime Minister Harper to Save Canada’s Experimental Lakes Area Dear Prime Minister, Last week, federal funding for Canada’s world-renowned Experimental Lakes Area (ELA) came to an end after forty-five years. Canada’s ELA was once a world-class science program dedicated to improving our understanding of the impacts of industry and other human activities on freshwater ecosystems. Through its unique, whole-ecosystem manipulation experiments and long-term ecological monitoring programs, ELA provided the best scientific evidence to guide the development of effective strategies to protect the health of Canada’s freshwater lakes and fish populations. The ELA brought Canada to the very forefront of aquatic science worldwide, and was instrumental in the development of sound environmental policies and best management practices in our country and around the globe. In short, the imprudent decision by the Government of Canada to no longer support the ELA program is an international disgrace that seriously threatens the health of Canada’s most essential resource – our freshwater. There are many things we can live without, but clean water is not one of them. We first learned of the Government of Canada’s decision to close the ELA research center on May 17, 20121. The ELA science team – a group of 17 freshwater scientists, chemists, biologists, and technicians employed by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) at the Freshwater Institute in Winnipeg, Manitoba – was informed by Michelle Wheatley, DFO Regional Director of Science, that the ELA would be shut down in March 2013 and that no new research was allowed at the ELA that summer. -

This report is submitted pursuant to subsection 32(1) of The Elections Act and subsection 99(1) of The Elections Finances Act. In accordance with subsection 32(5) of The Elections Act and subsection 99(2.1) of The Elections Finances Act, post-election and annual reporting under these statutes have been combined. The applicable legislation states that the Speaker shall lay the report before the Legislative Assembly forthwith if the Assembly is in session or, if not, within 15 days after the beginning of the next session. Pursuant to subsection 32(4) of The Elections Act and subsection 99(3) of The Elections Finances Act, an annual report that contains recommendations for amendments to these Acts stands referred to the Standing Committee on Legislative Affairs for consideration of those matters. Furthermore, these subsections provide that the Committee shall begin its consideration of the report within 60 days after the report is tabled in the Assembly. MANITOBA 2019 ELECTION SURVEY RESULTS Parties and Leaders: Performance and Perceptions AUGUST 2019 KEY FINDINGS FOR MORE INFORMATION: • More than one-half of Manitobans (54%) disapprove of Premier and Progressive Conservative Leader Brian Pallister’s job performance, compared to four-in-ten (40%) who give him high marks.
