Take RTD to the CU vs. CSU Rocky Mountain Showdown at Broncos Stadium at Mile High on Friday, Aug. 30 Rail service also be available for fans traveling to the stadium DENVER (Aug. 23, 2019) – The Regional Transportation District (RTD) will provide bus and train service to and from Broncos Stadium at Mile High on Friday, Aug. 30, for the CU vs. CSU football game. Fans can plan on getting to and from the game quickly and comfortably on RTD’s BroncosRide or the C, E and W light rail lines. The matchup between Colorado’s two largest football rivals unfolds at Broncos Stadium at Mile High, with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Friday. Fans can access the game quickly and comfortably using RTD’s direct bus service or the C, E and W light rail lines. Special service buses depart from many Park-n-Rides and other locations about 2 ½ hours before kickoff and operate until about one hour before the game starts, depending upon route and location. If you are heading downtown before the game, service to Union Station is available on the University of Colorado A Line and the B and G lines. From there, it is a quick transfer and trip to the stadium via the C, E and W lines. Round-trip fares range from $6.00 to $10.50, depending on trip origination. Passengers pay exact cash as they board, or can use Special Service Free Ride coupons. For exact pick-up locations and fares, visit the RTD website. Bus service Buses depart from many Park-n-Rides and other locations for the game about 2½ hours before kickoff and operate until about one hour before the game starts. Service resumes immediately following the game and will continue until 45 minutes after the game ends. Check online for a list of locations. Select Flatiron Flyer routes are available for service into downtown Denver. Please check online for stops and schedules. Rail service The C, E and W light rail lines stop at the Broncos Stadium at Mile High Station, and the W Line also stops at Decatur-Federal Station. Additionally, fans can take the D or H lines and transfer to the C or E lines at I-25 & Broadway, Alameda or 10th & Osage stations. Fans can also take the University of Colorado A Line, B or G lines to Union Station and transfer to the C, E or W lines to the stadium. To save time, fans may purchase a day pass at the ticket vending machines at light rail stations. Please note the following information: • Regular fares apply. • RTD passes and tickets, including CollegePass, EcoPass, NecoPass, and DayPass, are not accepted on this special service. • Tickets for RTD special services are not available on the mobile ticketing app. Bus riders should be prepared to pay exact cash for the round-trip fare at pick-up, while rail riders may purchase day passes at station ticket vending machines. • Bus service will not be provided from the Ward Road Park-n-Ride or the Olde Towne Arvada Park-n-Ride. Instead, riders may take the G Line from Ward Road Station or Olde Town Arvada Station to Denver Union Station and transfer to the C, E or W lines to Mile High Station. • Parking at Decatur-Federal Station will not be available to RTD patrons between 1 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. on game day. This lot will be a pay lot for the event, and unauthorized vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense. Other festivals, fairs and events affecting RTD service over the unofficial last weekend of summer include A Taste of Colorado and the Broncos 7K race. The closing weekend of Elitch Gardens’ water park and four days of baseball between the Colorado Rockies and the Pittsburgh Pirates at Coors Field will bring thousands of people and additional traffic to downtown Denver. Riders are encouraged to use Rider Alerts to plan their trips and allow extra time to reach their destinations. In partnership with Denver Vision Zero, RTD reminds passengers to practice safety around buses and trains. Bus and rail passengers should cross only at designated crossings, look both ways before crossing streets and rail tracks, stand a safe distance from the curb when waiting for a bus, stand behind the yellow line on the platform when waiting for a train and never walk in front of a bus or between buses when exiting.
