STEDMAN'S BUYING OR SELLING? Chain Store Success is largely a matter of selling. True, they get price concessions which the smaller merchant can't get or ex pect, but the difference is largely taken up in overhead and head office expenses, so that after all ia said and done the main advan tage of the chain store over the independent store is in selling. The chain store manager doesn't have to worry about fin ances, expenses, bookkeeping, advertising, buying, and ,many other details which the independent merchant must look after. His sole duty is keeping his stock up and selling the goods. Naturally it is impossible -for the independent merchant to escape the responsibility for the details of his own business, but many merchants can substantially reduce the time required for looking after the above mentioned duties. Probably the greatest portion of the average retail mer chant's time is taken up by salesmen. Why? In most cases just because that's the way it has always been done, or because it is easier to let a salesman make up or suggest an. order. But with the facilities for doing business to-day, there is no good reason why orders must be placed in this time-taking and expensive way. Hundreds of merchants have found and are find ing that, by PLACING THEIR ORDERS BY MAIL, in their own convenient hours, they can save valuable time to devote to selling, and at the same time save money because they've a-ot the time to compare prices before buying. This is just one feature of to.. day'1 difficult problema of the independent merchant. Think it over ! October always reminds me of the gnarled apple tree in my parents‟ backyard that was just right for climbing. When I got home from school, I would take a book, Class Listings 5 climb the tree, pick an apple and sit. The anticipation of celebrations that begin in November are always Special Notes 6 painted in jewel-toned colors. مجلة العمارة والفنون العدد الثاني عشر – الجزء الثاني Fashion Design and the Glamorous Of Polka Dot Assist. Prof. Dr/ Nashwa El Shafei Ready-made Garment Technology and fashion design Dpt.- Faculty of Applied Arts- Damietta University-Egypt Abstract Fashion design is the art of the application of design and aesthetics or natural beauty to clothing and accessories. The old myth has told that a young Salmon finds a Polka Dot dress floating in the Connecticut River. The young Salmon dressed it and becomes excited about all the Trash in the River where she found a sofa floating and hops onto it. On the other hand young Salmon dreamed about becoming Human. Polka Dot pattern are somewhat a signature of the fashion designers houses. Polka Dot is a pattern consisting of an array of circles with same size of different. Heart motifs are the most common used concept for the valentines theme displays heart structures which have been highlighted with lighting. The most obvious is that when taking inspiration from similar mediums, there‘s a fine line between ―inspired by‖ and ―copied‖. Designers themselves are very involved in choosing what appears for their searches in order to promote their presentations and shopping locations. The designers came from different centuries; different countries and many different walks of life, but they all had one thing in common: the nature is the beloved and respect in all of its wonder and significance. Nature is therefore the garden planets and the sea creatures have been a good source of inspiration. However the term ―Polka Dot‖ had been embedded and established in our minds and has been a part of our fashion vocabulary.
