Company, we, us and our includes TCPL’s parent, TransCanada Corporation (TransCanada) and the subsidiaries of TCPL through which its various business operations are conducted, and a reference to TransCanada includes TransCanada Corporation and the subsidiaries of TransCanada Corporation, including TCPL. Where TCPL is referred to with respect to actions that occurred prior to its 2003 plan of arrangement (the Arrangement) with TransCanada, which is described below under the heading TransCanada PipeLines Limited – Corporate structure, these actions were taken by TCPL or its subsidiaries. The term subsidiary, when referred to in this AIF, with reference to TCPL means direct and indirect wholly owned subsidiaries of, and legal entities controlled by, TransCanada or TCPL, as applicable.
