Access at Independence and 1st St, SW (Use East side of First Street sidewalk at Independence Ave., SW) see map below RECOMMENDED ARRIVAL TIME Entrance opens at 6:00 p.m. We recommend arriving no later than 7:15 p.m. to allow time to go through security. Please do not bring chairs or blankets, seats will be provided. Guests are allowed to bring small personal coolers with food and drinks; please bring items that are easy to eat and be mindful of litter. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Water stations will be set up around the perimeter of the reserved area for guests to enjoy prior to the program. Professional cameras/lenses and flash photography not allowed. ATTIRE Dress for the A Capitol Fourth Dress Rehearsal is casual. Patriotic wear and colors encouraged! This is a rain or shine event. Guests are advised to check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. PROGRAM TIME The Concert Rehearsal begins at 8:00 p.m. and will conclude at approximately 9:30 p.m. The concert will be hosted by Emmy Award-nominated actor and producer John Stamos (FULLER HOUSE, SCREAM QUEENS) and feature performances by: multi-platinum selling music legend Jimmy Buffett with the Broadway cast of the new musical Escape to Margaritaville, making their first stop after Broadway at the U.S. Capitol before launching a national tour; ‘America’s Band,’ the iconic multi-platinum selling music legends The Beach Boys; three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist Pentatonix; legendary Motown stars The Temptations; acclaimed multi-platinum country music singer-songwriter and winner of the iHeartRadio Music Award for Best New Country Artist Luke Combs; country music star and AMERICAN IDOL alum Lauren Alaina; multi-platinum pop singer and songwriter Andy Grammer; 12-time Grammy Award-winner and gospel legend CeCe Winans; theatrical icon and one of Broadway’s greatest triple-threat talents Chita Rivera; and internationally acclaimed Grammy award winning violinist Joshua Bell; with the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Jack Everly. THE VOICE Season 14 finalist Kyla Jade will open the show with a special performance of the “National Anthem.” The concert will pay special tribute to our men and women in uniform by world-renowned four-time Grammy Award-winning soprano superstar Renée Fleming, who will perform “You’ll Never Walk Alone” to honor them. The inspiring moment will be dedicated to our troops serving around the world, their families, and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, fighting for our freedom.
