Central East LHIN Report to the Community Fall 2018 Message from the Board Chair and Interim CEO We are pleased to bring you the Fall 2018 edition of Strengthening Connections, our quarterly report to the community. Since our last report (Spring 2018), the Central East LHIN has celebrated its first anniversary as a renewed organization, with an expanded mandate that now includes responsibility for the delivery of home and community care services. We are continuing to bring together health service providers, patients, caregivers and other partners to develop innovative, collaborative solutions leading to more timely access to high quality services for the residents of Ontario. As a renewed organization, we have a new Mission statement and set of Values which came into effect as of May 1, 2018 and now better reflect the LHIN’s evolving accountabilities and the health service providers who deliver services in the Central East region. Over the summer and into the fall, our transformation work has continued as we gathered feedback to support the development of our next local health system’s strategic plan. Known as an Integrated Health Service Plan (IHSP), the IHSP provides the foundation for the Central East LHIN to define and outline how, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, providers and patients, we will continue to improve the health of our communities with a particular focus on Mental Health and Addictions, Long-Term Care, Home care, Capacity planning and hospital over-crowding. As we develop the 2019-2022 IHSP (IHSP 5), we are connecting with our partners, patients, caregivers and residents across the seven sub-regions to hear their thoughts about our local health care system – what’s working and where innovations and improvements can still be made.

This represents the largest number of participants in the 8 years of the pro• gram. 1 was somewhat surprised that it only took us several days to become accustomed to Canada and to make fiiends with fellow students from all comers of Ukraine. Coming to Canada, Vadym Bobrov each of us had his or her expectations as to the Interregional experience each would get from CUPP. Public Registry of Designated Travellers In accordance with the Members By-law, a Member of the House of Commons may designate one person, other than the Member’s employee or another Member who is not the Member’s spouse, as their designated traveller. The Clerk of the House of Commons maintains the Public Registry of Designated Travellers. This list discloses each Member’s designated traveller. If a Member chooses not to have a designated traveller, that Member’s name does not appear on the Public Registry of Designated Travellers. The Registry may include former Members as it also contains the names of Members whose expenditures are reported in the Members’ Expenditures Report for the current fiscal year if they ceased to be a Member on or after April 1, 2015 (the start of the current fiscal year). Members are able to change their designated traveller once every 365 days, at the beginning of a new Parliament, or if the designated traveller dies. The Public Registry of Designated Travellers is updated on a quarterly basis.
