CANTINE LENOTTI

According to an enological map dated 1906, the name LENOTTI was already known in the past for the production of the classical wine . At that time the farm sold wines exclusively in butts or demijohns. In the following years until 1968 the farm constantly increased its production, making wine from local grapes and supplying the numerous bottlers of the neighborhood. Since 1968, the farm has been bottling and selling the wines directly. From 1971 to 2004 the farm and its facilities have undergone several enlargements. The most important of them was carried out in 2004/2005 with the modernization of the vinification, ageing equipement and the bottling line. At present the farm is run by the family Lenotti. All its members are involved in the winery: Father Giancarlo is the oenologist , production manager and facilities supervisor; mother Marina handles sales for the home market; and their son Claudio is export manager. The farm CANTINE LENOTTI is situated in Bardolino, a town in the North of , 25 Km from , on the banks of . Lake Garda, in the province of Verona, is the largest lake in Italy. It is famous all over the world for its mild climate and its natural and artistic beauties that attract a great number of tourists all through the year. The beneficial effect that the lake exerts on the climate and the morphological features of the hills surrounding the banks of the lake have favored the development of a flourishing agriculture based almost exclusively on vine and olive growing. These two activities, together with tourism, are fundamental in the local economy. The province of Verona, including the surrounding territories on the East side of Lake Garda, are well known for tehe wines Bardolino, and . As well as Bianco di , Lugana and Pinot Grigio. Reds include the winesAmarone della Valpolicella, Recioto della Valpolicella and Cabernet Sauvignon as well as rosè wines such as the classical Chiaretto Bardolino are gaining more popularity. The farm is situated in Bardolino, set in the lake land- scape, characterised by wonderful vineyards and olive groves. It is easy to reach it: it is on the main road "Statale Gardesana" of Lake Garda, not far from the highways Brennero-Modena (5 Km from the exit -Lake Garda) or the Milan-Venice (15 Km from the exit Peschiera).
