    MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION SEPTEMBER 17, 2019 A regular meeting of the Board of Education, District 155, McHenry and Lake Counties, Illinois, was held at Crystal Lake Central High School, 45 West Franklin Avenue, Crystal Lake, IL 60014 in said District, Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Vice President Adam Guss called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Vice President directed the Secretary to call the roll. Upon the roll being called, the following members answered present: Amy Blazier, Adam Guss, Ron Ludwig, Nicole Pavoris, Dave Secrest, and Tom Vaclavek. Board member absent: Jason Blake. Also present were: Steve Olson, Superintendent; Scott Shepard, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services; Jeremy Davis, Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations; Shannon Podzimek, Director of Communications; Erica Bruso, Director of Fiscal Services; Matt Timmerman, Director of Curriculum and Assessment; George DiVenere, Director of Technology; Kim Dahlem, Director of Student Services; Neil Lesinski, Dr. Steve Koch, Josh Nobilio, and Dr. Eric Ernd; Principals CHSD 155; and Kim Bromley, Crystal Lake Central High School Vice Principal. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to work with a dedicated staff, supportive community, and incredibly talented students. Together, we will carry on the legacy that CGHS has established of providing a quality high school experience and a supportive environment where all students are challenged to learn and grow. Neil Lesinski To share a little about me: I am originally from Grayslake, IL. Neil Lesinski Principal In my educational career, I have led a few different divisions, Principal including English and Career Tech Ed. Most recently I have Rebecca Saffert been serving District 155 as the Director of Curriculum and Assessment. I completed Vice Principal my undergrad at Western Illinois University and played tennis there for four years (Go Jim Kelly Leathernecks!). My masters degree in school administration is from Concordia University, Dean of Students (A-K) and I am currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership through Aurora University. My wife, Sara, and I have two children, Leo (22 months) and Ella who was born Amy Langelund on May 30. Sara is a high school English teacher, so we share a passion for education. We Dean of Students (L-Z) both feel very fortunate to be able to raise our family in the traditions and Trojan spirit of Dr. Hank Harvey Cary-Grove High School and its community. Student Services Coordinator As the 2017-2018 school year approaches, I am looking forward to seeing the hallways filled Jim Altendorf with the energy and enthusiasm of students and teachers.
