Deutsche Wohnen gives away holiday fun – tenants are delighted at 5,000 super holiday passes

Berlin, 22 June 2015. Just a few weeks before the start of the summer holidays, the Berlin tenants of the Deutsche Wohnen Group can enjoy a special surprise. The housing company is giving away a total of 5,000 Super Holiday Passes to children and young people from parts of Berlin that present particular social challenges. On 23 and 24 June 2015 these young tenants from Deutsche Wohnen housing estates in , , , , and Schöneberg have the opportunity to collect their personal holiday pass at various local distribution points in the city.

“As the largest housing company in Berlin, Deutsche Wohnen is committed to integrated communities in its housing. And our particular interest is in providing help and support to children and young people. With these holiday passes, we would like to enable our youngest tenants to enjoy a creative summer holiday that is full of variety,” explained Stefanie Steinfurth, the Head of Region East of Deutsche Wohnen Immobilien Management GmbH.

With more than 100,000 flats in Greater Berlin, Deutsche Wohnen is the largest housing company in the capital. Deutsche Wohnen works closely with local social centres in its estates and, in this way, supports work designed to strengthen the neighbourhood and relations between neighbours. The Super Holiday Pass 2015/2016 is aimed at children between 6 and 11, and at young people up to 18 years, and offers free entrance or a reduced entrance fee to numerous events and locations in the areas of sport, play, sightseeing and culture.
