It also provides analysts’ information on the Uzbek bloggers’ championship and features of the Uzbek blogs. Comparative analysis of blog journalism, blogger activity in the People’s Republic of China and the UK in particular, is reflected in theoretical and practical aspects.     -Bismillah-ir Rahman-ir Rahim- Moving Forward from Shab-e-Barat1 to Ramadan for All Muslims The topic of Shab-e-Barat has been so badly distorted by some persons, that a positive clarification is essential. At the outset, both the Holy Qur’an and the six Sahih Hadith2 do not report any compulsiveness by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in observing Shab-e-Barat3, as a significant annual event for Muslims. It should also be noted in this special regard, that the Hadith period covers 23 years of the Prophet’s gloriously exemplary life, especially whilst the Holy Qur’an was being revealed in separate deliveries. An issue, which requires recognition, is the non-universality and the non-commonalty throughout the Muslim world on this event of Shab-e-Barat. In some Muslim communities, the event of Shab-e-Barat is given disproportionate publicity to some prescribed events, and in some other Muslim communities, Shab-e-Barat is just another night of dutiful prayers. The event of systematically moving forward from Shab-e-Barat to Ramadan4 may be compared to the 1 Shab-e-Barat comes from Persian roots, which was widely used during the Mughal Rule era and occupation of India (1526-1857).     The Rise of Radical Islam in Uzbekistan By Walter S. Zapotoczny Jr. Perhaps the most significant contemporary issue facing Central Asia today is the rise of radical Islam. This is especially evident in Uzbekistan. The radical Islamic elements that have gained support in Central Asia over the past decade differ greatly from strains of Islam native to the region. Since Uzbekistan Islam traditionally has moved away from Islam found in other parts of the world, including the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, the recent drive toward radicalism in the region can be viewed in the larger context of the global Islamic movement. However, before examining the factors that have given rise to radical Islam in Uzbekistan in the 1990s, one must briefly consider the history of Islam in the region. This history demonstrates that Islam has served and continues to serve as an important part of the identity of Uzbekistan. Although the populations of Central Asia have long embraced Islam, this identity has played a limited role as a vehicle for political mobilization. Given this history, the question arises as to whether or not radical Islam will serve as a mobilizing factor in Uzbekistan in the twenty-first century. The path of Islam in Central Asia has been one of continuity and change. Islamic traditions have been passed down for centuries, despite periods of repression of the faith. The religion was first introduced to Central Asia in the seventh century by Arab invaders arriving from the Middle East. It was not until the ninth century, however, that Islam was adopted by local rulers and became the predominant religion in the region.

This paper is focused on the problems of modernization, which had to be solved in the Central Asian’s countries at the end 1980-ies to the early 1990-ies, after disintegration of Socialist World System and a subsequent transition to a market economy in the context of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan became a powerful state with its own unique place in the World society, which developed quickly and steadily in a short period of time, from a country whose economy has been unilaterally developed and whose level of life was very low. Having overcome the crisis of the 90’s, retained the potential for further modernization on the basis of its own identity. The basis for such an optimistic assessment is the knowledge that each civilization has its own unique dynamics, which is determined by internal laws. Each civilization selectively perceives elements alien to it, without violating its own individuality. The paper has a primarily review and qualitative analysis of them modernization processes in the country after independence.
