The idea of sewing your first bra on your own is challenging enough, but finding the right pattern shouldn't be. I've compiled a list of 18 free bra/bralette models available online for free. All you have to do is download them and print them out. Where can I find free bra templates? Here is a list of retailers/bloggers who offer free models. I'll dive more into what's to expect from them below, so you can make an informed decision about where to start. What other sewists say: Noel Halter Bralette is a popular do on the internet. It has some mixed reviews but for the most part the sewing seems to really like it. Some of the negative reviews are that do not come with any photos and can be misleading. However, for more experienced sewers said they didn't feel they even needed to look at the instructions. How to. thought the picture was simple, so I wanted to keep that in mind if you're new to sewing underwear. There were a few sewist who noted that the size was a bit off. This may be due to the different body shapes of the people and the Madalynne fit patterns do not coincide with the general audience. Also, this model is great for cracking a swimsuit and most sewing seems to be very happy with the end result when using this pattern for swimwear. You can add cups between the lining and the main fabric to make it more structured as well. Another quick tip, this design offers a lining, but has no instructions on how to make it a hidden lining. You can use Madalin's Sierra instructions instead if you want to hide the lining for a clean look. What other sewists are saying: Raquel Bralette is very new to the market, so there is no blog or Instagram reviews just yet. I scoured the comments on this bralette to find that other sewists said it was comfortable and pretty bra but lacking in cleavage cover. This comment makes sense as there is a front cut-out cleavage that is an element of design. Keep this in mind if you have a fuller bust and want more coverage. Brands position themselves by taking a stance against a dominant cultural narrative. This creates two types of cultural positioning on each side of an ideological divide. This present thesis examines how a brand like Savage X Fenty practices cultural branding by reconciling the two sides (rather than opposing them) and functionally bridging the ideological gap.
