Saint Blaise | Bishop and Martyr IN THIS February 3 WEEK’S
BULLETIN February 3, we celebrate the
feast of Saint Blaise, who was CYO T bishop of Sebaste in Armenia S U in the fourth century. Before 2 being martyred, he is said to have healed a boy who was choking. Since the eighth C century, Saint Blaise has C been venerated as the patron P 5 of those who suffer from diseases of the throat. We pray in a special way W today for protection from M D afflictions of the throat and P 7 from other illnesses. The blessing of Saint Blaise is a sign of our faith in God's P M protection and love for us P 12 and for the sick.
Through the intercession of Saint Blaise, bishop and martyr, may God deliver you from every disease of the throat and from every other illness: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
