SU Language of recommends the B1/B2 (intermediate high) level on the CEFRL. A student instruction who has successfully completed at least one 300-level class is likely to be at this level. Note: Some master’s level classes are conducted in English. SU will provide transcripts for students taking part in Grades and the exchange. At the student’s request, the College will review courses to Transcripts determine how they will apply to your degree. Please note that IU does not accept Pass/Fail. Spring semester: January 20-May 16, 2020 Students should plan to arrive several days before the term begins. Exchange students should only purchase tickets once SU has confirmed the dates of arrival. Students who are nominated for the exchange are eligible for a travel grant from OIA. Nearest international Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport SU has a variety of accommodations reserved for foreign students in different residences in Paris. Pre-departure The College OIA staff will provide an in-person orientation near the end of orientation the fall semester to help students prepare for their programs. Students will have an orientation session with the Sorbonne University Arrival information Office of International Relations. Students may also meet individually with academic advisors in preparation for the exchange program. Tuition IU Tuition Housing $1,800-2,900 Estimated costs per Food $1,000 semester Transportation, books, incidentals $735-950 OVST administrative fee $233 + insurance, visa, airfare APPLICATION INFORMATION • Must be pursuing a degree within the College of Arts and Sciences • Have completed a minimum of one year at IUB prior to enrolling abroad • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above Student eligibility requirements • Have a passport by the time applications are due at the host university, valid at least 6 months after the anticipated return date For this program, students must be nominated by the College Office of International Affairs (OIA). Due date for Monday, September 30, 2019 applications to OIA • If you would like to apply for this exchange, please visit http://go.iu.edu/ASPIREexchanges • Click on Apply Now to access the application form. • Complete the form and upload a statement of intent. • Send the recommendation form link to the person who will supply a reference for you. It must be submitted by the application deadline. Application process • OIA staff will conduct interviews with select students (semi-finalists) to determine their suitability and preparedness for the exchange. Students must come to the interview prepared with a list of prospective courses they might like to take abroad. • OIA will nominate finalists to SU. Upon acceptance, SU will contact students to invite them to apply for admission. An academic transcript and copy of your passport will be required at this point.
