8 This walk/route is loosely based upon Route 4, the /Skateraw Walk from the Discover North Kincardine series of Maps (see link at bottom of this page).

9 7 For this walk, the start/end point is near the Newton Arms (1). Heading eastwards, down the road towards the sea, you pass by several very old buildings (2). At the bottom there is a panoramic view over the bay (3). Taking care, head down the steep path to the stony beach (4). Seals and other wildlife may be seen in the bay. Either using the small bridge, or 6 stepping stones, cross the stream (5). Past the buildings and a short distance up the track, take the steps to the right (6). This leads you up 5 and into a large field where deer and other wildlife have been spotted 1 4 previously. Please to the edge of the field. At the top of the field you will join the coastal track (7) and if you look to the far south you 2 3 will see Garron Point and you may catch a glimpse of Dunnottar Castle, both near . Follow this track round, then head down the road below the railway viaduct (8). At the Mill you will then head up A 1.4 mile / 2.25 kilometre wander the path, to the road alongside the railway. taking 35 minutes to 1 hour The majority of this route is on pavements and tracks.
