This study examined 2014-16 Zika and dengue epidemic data at the sub- 15 national level to characterise transmission across the Dominican Republic. -

INTRODUCCIÓN El artículo 59 de la Constitución dominicana establece que “toda persona tiene de- recho a una vivienda digna con servicios básicos esenciales”. En esta investigación, conceptualizamos el derecho a la vivienda como lo plantea Enrique Ortiz (2011), no solo como un derecho social legalmente regulado y que, por lo tanto, comparte con los demás derechos sus características de universalidad, integralidad, inalienabilidad, indivisibilidad e interdependencia; sino también como un bien de uso, es decir, se privilegia su valor de uso sobre su valor de cambio, como un proceso, lo que significa que no es un producto terminado sino que se produce de acuerdo a los recursos, posibilidades, necesidades y anhelos, y como acto de habitar, por ser un resultado cultural vinculado no solo al lugar sino a su historia, lo que implica una relación afec- tiva con el lugar, (Ortiz Flores, 2011). -
