PURE BRED POULTRY & WATERFOWL SALE SATURDAY 5th OCTOBER 2019
Well what a Sale!!!!! Trade was electric from start to finish. It was a pair of Rare Silver Green Wing Teal that topped the prices making £200. A run of Silver Duckwing Welsummers caught the eye, these sold for £190. All large fowl pullets, whether it be Rhode Island Reds, Light Sussex, Buff Sussex or Marans averaged over £25 per head which was extremely good for the time of year. In the bantam section silkies stole the show with a trio of whites selling to £155, closely followed by 2 white bearded Silkie Pullets making £120. Close to 250 lots in the deadstock section; lots included small cabins, carrying crates, incubators, poultry drinkers and accessories which were in demand throughout. Top price of the day in the poultry deadstock section was a Brinsea Octagon 20 Incubator making £95. Hatching eggs topped at £22 for 12 Barnevelder eggs.
