Katri Torvinen Valaistus taiteessa ja 3D-videopeleissä – Case: Nine Parchments -kenttä Tradenomi Tietojenkäsittely Kevät 2017 TIIVISTELMÄ Tekijä(t): Torvinen Katri Työn nimi: Valaistus taiteessa ja 3D-videopeleissä – case: Nine Parchmentsin kenttä Tutkintonimike: Tradenomi (AMK), tietojenkäsittely Asiasanat: valo, valaistus, taide, 3D, videopeli, peli Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoitus on käsitellä valaistusta ja sen luomista klassisen taiteen maalauk- sissa, sekä kuinka näitä oppeja voidaan hyödyntää videopeleissä. Työn tavoitteena on tutustua valoon ja valaistuskäytänteisiin taiteelliselta kannalta. Työn alkuosa käsittelee pohjustavasti valon perusolemusta sähkömagneettisena säteilynä, sekä mihin valon mahdollistamat ihmissilmän ha- vainnot, kuten värien näkeminen, perustuvat. Taidemaalausten valaistuksia käsiteltäessä tutkitaan valaistuksen merkitystä ja hyödyntämistä te- oksissa. Työssä käydään myös läpi realistisen valon jäljittelyssä auttavia havaintoja valon ominai- suuksista, kuten sen värejä ja niiden sekoittumista sekä valon kirkkautta, pehmeyttä, sijaintia ja varjoja. Lisäksi käydään läpi tuntemusta valon käyttäytymisestä erilaisten materiaalien kanssa sekä taiteilijoiden keinoja ja käytänteitä luoda esteettisesti miellyttävä valaistus kuvaan esimerkiksi oikeilla värivalinnoilla. Videopelien osalta tutustutaan valon merkitykseen ja käyttömahdollisuuksiin esimerkiksi osana pe- limekaniikkoja, sekä klassisen maalaustaiteen oppeja voidaan soveltamiseen niissä. It is the sequel to the 2013 game Tomb Raider and its se- quel Rise of the Tomb Raider, and the twelfth entry in the Tomb Raider series. The game is set to release on 14 September 2018 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective. The game's hub is set to be the largest in the franchise which also reveals the hidden city of Paititi. Players can participate in side quests and missions and learn about Paititi which provides a richer experience. A new barter system allows players to trade resources, salvage parts and weapons in Paititi. There are numerous adjustments made to gameplay, which is otherwise identical to Rise. The controls for swimming have been completely revised, as Lara is now able to hold her breath underwater for a longer period of time due to the introduction of air pockets. She also gains the ability to rappel down a cliff using a rope. Stealth becomes an im- portant part of the game, with Lara being able to disengage from combat when she escapes from enemies' line of sight. -

Calcio e videogiochi: un legame radicato nel tempo Negli ultimi anni il fenomeno degli eSport ha dimostrato quanto sia forte il legame tra il mondo dei videogiochi e quello dello sport, soprattutto se consideriamo il formarsi di squadre e leghe professionistiche, come la Overwatch League o il tesseramento di molti pro player da parte delle squadre di calcio, com’è successo in Italia con Mattia “Lonewolf92” Guarracino tesserato dalla Sampdoria. In realtà, questi due mondi avevano già molte cose in comune, già a partire dalla metà degli anni ‘80: stiamo parlando delle sponsorizzazioni di vari publisher e sviluppatori sulle maglie di molte squadre di calcio dal blasone nazionale e internazionale. In questo numero diEVOL faremo un excursus storico su questo tema. Partiamo dagli inizi: dobbiamo la palma di pionieri del genere alla Commodore, allora tra i leader del settore videoludico. Dal 1988 fino al ‘92/’93, l’azienda fondata da Jack Tramiel è apparsa sulle maglie del Chelsea: i tempi dei petrodollari di Roman Abramovich e del tatticismo di Maurizio Sarri erano ancora lontani, visto che la squadra londinese retrocesse in Second Division (la attuale Championship) alla fine della stagione ‘87/’89, salvo poi ritornare in First Division (ora Premier League) dopo un anno per poi veleggiare in zone di metà classifica. Nella stagione ‘93/’94 vi fu una piccola sostituzione: da Commodore si passò ad Amiga, però senza cambiare risultati, visto che la squadra allora allenata da Glenn Hoddle finì la stagione al quattordicesimo posto, perdendo inoltre la finale di FA Cup contro il Manchester United. Commodore nel frattempo finì anche sulle maglie del Bayern Monaco in Germania dal 1984 fino al 1989, ottenendo risultati decisamente migliori rispetto ai blues, visto che i bavaresi vinsero ben quattro scudetti, una coppa e una supercoppa di Germania. -
