OH CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN Adam Pleskach continues to impress in his eighth season in Tulsa. He has the league’s longest home point streak, collecting a point in every game at the BOK Center. He is also just two goals away from WESTERN CONFERENCE 200 pro goals and he is three away from that mark in an Oilers’ sweater. STANDINGS (WIN PCT) FLOOD GATES OPEN Brent Gates signed with the Oilers on Jan. 7. The 80th pick of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft played on 1. ALLEN- 16 assignment from San Diego last season, amassing 20 points in 25 games as an Oiler. Scoreless in 2. WICHITA - 13 POINTS his first three games, the 6-2 forward has collected three goals in the last two games. A player with a 3. UTAH - 13 POINTS lethal shot, Gates has beaten the goalie clean off the initial shot for all three scores. Forwards Dino Balsamo and Griff Jeszka have both played multiple games with Tulsa this season. PAST 10 GAMES Balsamo collected an assist in one of his two games as an Oiler. Both players participated in training 12/27 at ALN (5-1 L) camp as well, giving them a strong understanding of head coach Rob Murray’s systems. The duo are 12/31 at KC (4-1 L) 1/2 at KC (4-3 W) joined by defenseman Nick Minerva and forward Ryan Smith - both from the Macon Mayhem. 1/8 vs UTA (3-2 OTW) SCOUTING THE FUEL 1/9 vs UTA (1-0 W) Indy continued their hot run on Wednesday, defeating the Oilers 3-2 with yet another comeback win. 1/10 vs UTA (3-2 SOW) Every goal this season has been a one-goal game for the Fuel, and their 9-1-0-0 record is the best in the 1/15 at RC (4-1 W) ECHL — ranking tops in total wins, points and win percentage. The fuel are 4-1-0-0 in games they trail through two periods. Orlando is the only other team in the league to win more than once when it that 1/16 at RC (3-1 L) situation, going 2-5-1-0. In comparison, Kasnas City is 0-6-0-0 and the Oilers are 0-5-0-1 when trailing 1/17 at RC (3-2 L) after two periods. Billy Christopoulos — who made his Fuel debut Wednesday — is one of the best 1/20 vs INDY (3-2 L) goalies in the ECHL over the last two season.
