NEW FACES SIMILAR PLACES The Oilers made two trades to begin the week, acuqiring forward Michael McNicholas from the Indy Fuel in exchange for Brent Gates. Tulsa also received goal- tender Hayden Hawkey from Allen, sending the ECHL rights to defenseman Miles Liberati to the Americans. Both of the players acquired by the Oilers have played in the BOK Center in the past. Hawkey made his pro debut at the BOK Center last year with the Kansas City Mavericks, and McNicholas played all three games for the Indy Fuel when they came to town Jan. 20-23 — finishing the week with two points. WESTERN CONFERENCE McNicholas comes in with the second-best plus-minus on the team, ranks sixth in STANDINGS (WIN PCT) point getters on the campaign, and fourth in goals.
