2020-21 GAME NOTES Tulsa Oilers f ECHL GAME #5 TULSA OILERS vs WICHITA THUNDER OILERS 2019-20 Record Friday, December 11 - BOK CENTER (TULSA, OK) OVERALL: 29-26-7-1 HOME: 17-13-3-0 TULSA OILERS WICHITA THUNDER 0-0-0-0 (0 PTS) 0-0-0-0 (0 PTS) AWAY: 12-13-4-1 First Place - MOUNTAIN First Place - MOUNTAIN MOUNTAIN: 25-22-5 HEAD COACH: ROB MURRAY (4th SEASON) HEAD COACH: BRUCE RAMSAY (2nd SEASON) STATE OF THE UNION Things look a bit different as the Oilers begin their sixth season in the Premier ‘AA’ Hockey League. To start the season, 13 of the ECHL’s 26 teams will begin play. However, the Oilers MOUNTAIN DIVISION will see many familiar faces coming to the BOK Center. Six of the seven teams in the STANDINGS Mountain Division will be playing in the 2020-21 season, with the only exception being the Idaho Steelheads, who opted out of the season earlier this month. The Toledo Walleye and 1. ALLEN- 0 POINTS Fort Wayne Komets are the only two teams to not opt-out or opt-in, potentially raising the 2. KANSAS CITY - 0 POINTS amount of teams to 15 before the end of the season. 3. RAPID CITY - 0 POINTS ATOMIC SIX 4. TULSA - 0 POINTS Tulsa’s rosters has seen some major changes this offseason, but the nucleus of the Mountain Division 5. UTAH - 0 POINTS Championship team and the 2019-20 squad are returning for the 2020-21 campaign. Mike Mckee, Ian 6. WICHITA- 0 POINTS Mcnulty, Danny Moynihan, Adam Pleskach, Charlie Sampair and Devin Williams all return. Pleskach is the current franchise leader in games played and leads the Oilers in all offensive statistical categories in the ECHL era. Sampair was the leading goal scorer during the 2017-18 season, Danny Moynihan was PAST 10 GAMES in the top five in goals, assists and points last season and Mike McKee has led the team in PIM in back- to-back campaigns. Goaltender Devin Williams will look to start the season off strong after winning 2/15 vs WIC (3-2 W) back-to-back goaltender of the month honors in the opening months of the 2017 and 2018 seasons. 2/16 vs KC (5-2 W) BRYCE KINDOPPURTNITY 2/18 vs ALN (2-0 L) Forward Bryce Kindopp, an Anaheim Ducks contracted player, has yet to play a professional 2/21 vs ALN (5-3 W) game, but there is plenty to be excited about. The 6’1, 185 lbs. rookie was a lethal goal 2/23 vs ALN (2-1 OTL) scorer at the junior level, scoring 39 goals in 2018-19 and 40 goals in 2019-20 while playing 2/28 vs RC (6-3 W) for Everett of the WHL. 2/29 vs RC (8-4 L) CALMING THE STORM 3/1 vs RC (6-3 W) vs Tulsa hopes to continue their great form against the Thunder from the 2019-20 season.
