Um, sorry guys, that buoy belongs to SCYC! Discretion was the better part of valor as we computed our ETA at Moss Landing to be around midnight and decided to motor to Elkhorn to catch the party. Valkyrie thus be- came first boat to finish in the motor division—too bad there is no trophy for that—and we got the royal EYC treatment including the dockside berth and our fill of the excellent taco bar. The crew of Vuja De arrived shortly afterward—by car. The Monterey boats began to fin- ish around 8pm and the Santa Cruz fleet arrived around 10pm.
