O estudo considerou coletas nos Herbários do Mato Grosso do Sul (CGMS, CPAP), além do R para Alismataceae. O número total de espécies mencionadas para o estado é de 41, sendo duas introduzidas (Egeria densa Planch. e Vallisneria spiralis L.), já citadas e coletadas no Mato Grosso do Sul. A família mais rica é Alismataceae, e o gênero mais numeroso Echinodorus Rich. ex Engelm. (12 espécies), ca. 24% do total. Echinodorus cordifolius (L.) Griseb. no Pantanal é uma ocorrência disjunta. Sagittaria planitiana G. Agostini é a primeira citação para o estado. Vol. LXIII Bratislava, 2017 NOTES ON SOME RATAJ’S NAMES IN THE GENUS ECHINODORUS (ALISMATACEAE) Jozef Somogyi Abstract: Notes on the nomenclature and taxonomy of some taxa of the genus Echinodorus described by Karel Rataj (1925–2014) are given. Many of them have lacked a type specimen and their supposed types have never been deposited in the herbarium PR, even if that was so stated in the protologues. Unfortunately, as the types are cited in the protologues, the names have to be treated as valid according to the Code. The specimens labelled as “holotypes” of the names E. africanus, E. gabrielii, E. janii, E. pseudohorizontalis, E. schlueteri, E. veronikae and E. viridis appeared in the herbarium PR only lately. However, none of these specimens can be considered as a holotype. The true holotypes of E. africanus and E. schlueteri have already existed before. The names E. gabrielii, E. heikobleheri, E. opacus, E. osiris, E. pseudohorizontalis and E. viridis are typified here. It is impossible to typify the names E. janii, E. multiflorus and E. veronikae. One previously published information on E. densinervis is corrected in the appendix of this article. Mnohým druhom rodu Echinodorus, ktoré opísal Karel Rataj (1925 – 2014), chýbajú typové herbárové položky, aj keď v protológoch je uvedené, že boli deponované v herbári PR. Žiaľ, keďže tieto neexistujúce typy sú citované v protológoch, je nutné takto publikované mená považovať za platné v zmysle Kódu. -

Die deutsche Fassung unterscheidet sich jedoch nicht nur im Äußeren wesentlich von der niederländischen. So wurden Fehler ausgemerzt, weitere Einzelheiten hinzugefügt, die erst in den letzten Jahren bekannt geworden sind, und besonders eine Reihe von Arten neu aufgenommen. Zum ersten Mal habe ich sämtliche Arten Cryptocoiyne, die bis heute entdeckt worden sind, behandelt und abbilden lassen, darunter sechs neue, also bislang noch nicht beschriebene Arten. Lagenandia und Aponogeton wurden ebenfalls erheblich erweitert. Der Text ist so gehalten, daß sidi auch Leser,di e über keine botanische Schulung verfügen, mühelos zurechtfinden. Der Einfachheit halber steht die Bezeichnung „Synonyme" für jegliche zu Un recht verwendeten Namen, d. h. der Terminus „Synonyme" hat hier eine viel weitere Bedeutung als üblicherweise in der wissenschaftlichen, technisch-botani schen Literatur. In diesem Buch sind „Synonyme" also nicht nur nomenklato- rischungültige , „inkorrekte" Namen, sondern z. B.auc h handelsübliche Bezeich nungen, fehlerhafte Identifizierungen u. a. Leider ist es unmöglich, allen zu danken, die auf verschiedenste Weise dazu bei getragen haben, daß die Darstellung der „Aquarienpflanzen" in ihrer jetzigen Form zustande kommen konnte. In our study, two aquatic ornamental plants, Microsorum pteropus (Blume) Copel. and Echinodorus grisebachii Small, were studied for their Cd accumulation capacity, morphological characteristics, and leaf physiological indexes. Microsorum pteropus (Blume) Copel. leaf has the potential to hyperaccumulate Cd (166 mg/kg dry weight for 1 mg/L exposure), with no significant physiological difference under exposure. Echinodorus grisebachii Small had sensitive diagnostic responses to Cd toxicity, such as significant decreases in Chl (a + b) and Chl-a/b, increased peroxidase (POD) activity, greater malondialdehyde (MDA) content, and increased soluble sugar content. These results suggest that Microsorum pteropus (Blume) Copel. could have the potential to be a Cd hyperaccumulator, while Echinodorus grisebachii Small could serve as a biomonitor for Cd-contaminated water bodies. Alternanthera bettzickiana is an ornamental plant which is believed by some to be a cultivar of Alternanthera ficoidea. Research is needed to clarify the taxonomic status of this species. Origin: South America Height: 20-50 cm Temperature range: Water hardness: pH Range: Difficulty: 2 beke.co.nz Alternanthera reineckii 'Pink' Red Hygrophila Alternanthera reineckii is an amphibious herbaceous perennial that grows along river courses, in seepage are- as, and in wet depressions (rain pools) in its native South America. It has the capacity to grow completely submerged as well as emerged. It grows to 15-50 cm in height and 10-15 cm in width. New Zealand plant guide recommends Alternanthera reineckii 'Pink' as a “low risk” plant for aquaria and water ponds. The stems are generally prostrate, creeping, often rooting at the nodes, sometimes floating or ascending at the tips, cylin- drical and slightly hairy, with numerous, erect branches. The leaves are simple, opposite, shortly petiolate or sessile, broadly lanceolate or spatulate to almost linear, 0.6-5 cm long, and 0.3-1 cm wide.
