A client’s husband had a chronic health condition. It worsened and he had to be hospitalized. While there, he fell, hit his head and died. My client wondered what was happening in her chart when her husband passed away?

Her Progressed Moon was conjuncting Progressed Mercury, ruler of her 12th houses of hospitals. Progressed Mars (ruler of her 8th house of joint finances) was conjuncting her Sun. Transiting Mars was opposing natal Saturn (located in her 2nd house). Saturn rules the 4th house of her home. The transiting Midheaven was conjuncting Pluto and the transiting Ascendant was conjuncting her Progressed Ascendant. Her two Ascendants were conjuncting her natal Mars, ruler of her 8th house of joint finances, death, insurance and inheritances. Saturn (in the sky) was squaring her Natal Moon, ruler of her 10th house (change in life’s direction). Transiting Mercury was conjuncting her Midheaven and squaring her natal Ascendant. The month before her husband’s death, Uranus had moved over her Descendant and was now moving through her 7th house of partnerships. Since her husband’s death came “out of the blue”, she had no time to prepare for it. Three weeks prior to her husband’s death, Jupiter had entered her 8th house. She now had to delve into 8th house matters of joint finances, death, insurance and inheritance. There is a lot going on in the person’s chart when a life-changing event like this occurs. Students will learn about the components that make up the natal chart. You will learn how to read a chart from a beginner’s point of view.
