We’ve got hawks that soar high in the sky, bears that climb through the trees, and elk making their way back home in a safe haven. Bring your binoculars and keep your eyes wide open. BLACK BEARS These mountains have over 1,500 black bears. Which means, you’re likely to come across one. You might see them on a hike, playing by the side of the road; or maybe even in town, moseying under a chairlift. This is their home and we’re all welcome visitors, but make sure to play it safe and clean up after yourself.
