It attracts over 60,000 visitors including business decision-makers, IT management, and line-of-business end users. Registration for Oracle OpenWorld begins Saturday, September 17th at 2:00 PM and events span throughout the week until Thursday afternoon (September 22nd). Howard Street between 3rd and 4th Streets will be closed beginning at 9:00 AM on Thursday, September 15th through Saturday, September 24th at 5:00 PM. Please be aware of heavy traffic, street closures, and congestion occurring in this area due to the sheer volume of OpenWorld attendees. Oracle JavaOne Saturday, September 17th- Thursday, September 22nd | Hilton SF Union Square; Parc 55 SF The JavaOne conference will bring Java developers and enthusiasts a week of Java-related technology learning and networking. There will be hands-on sessions and the chance to hear from and share ideas with the Java community. The complete Oracle JavaOne agenda can be found here. Taylor Street between Ellis and O’Farrell streets will be closed beginning at 11:00 PM on Friday, September 16th through Friday, September 23rd at 10:00 AM. Oracle Appreciation Event Wednesday, September 21st| 7:00 PM- 11:00 PM | AT&T Park As a part of Oracle OpenWorld, this year’s Oracle Appreciation Event will be at AT&T Park and will feature performer Billy Joel. The event is private but free for all who registered for the full conference package. Please be aware of heavy traffic and congestion near AT&T Park during this event, much like during a Giants game. Hardly Strictly Bluegrass th nd Friday, September 30 - Sunday, October 2 | 11 AM- 7 PM | Golden Gate Park Free festival in Golden Gate Park featuring over 100 musical artists on 7 stages! Due to the sheer volume of people attending this event, please be aware of the anticipated heavy traffic in the Golden Gate Park area. 5 Oral-B Glide Floss Bridge to Bridge Sunday, October 2nd | 9:00 AM | Embarcadero at San Francisco Ferry Building The 40th Annual Oral-B Glide Floss Bridge to Bridge 5K or 12K walk/run will benefit the Special Olympics of Northern California. Both courses start together downtown at the Ferry Building then run through Fisherman's Wharf, along the Marina Green where the 5K finishes. The 12K will continue on out and back through Crissy Field with scenic views of the Golden Gate Bridge. At 11:00 AM walkers/runners still on the course will be asked to move to the sidewalk to allow the roads to be re- opened to traffic. *Please be aware when driving and riding public transit during this time, as streets near Fisherman’s Wharf, Marina Green, and Crissy Field will be temporarily closed. Dreamforce Tuesday, October 3rd- Friday, October 7th, 2016 Salesforce Corporation’s annual Dreamforce conference will be taking place at various conference centers downtown including Moscone Center, Hilton San Francisco Union Square, the Palace Hotel, Park Central Hotel, the Westin St. Francis, and the Marriot Marquis starting Tuesday, October 3rd and ending Friday, October 7th. Significant traffic and congestion are anticipated in and around Moscone Center between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM daily for the duration of the closure. Travelers are encouraged to take public transit or use alternate routes. Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets will be closed beginning at 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 29th through 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 9th. Howard Street traffic will be detoured either via 2nd Street to Harrison Street or via New Montgomery Street to Hawthorne Street, then to either Folsom or Harrison streets. *This information is courtesy of SFMTA and is subject to change. As always, we will send a notice if there are any significant updates. 6 Fleet Week Monday, October 3rd- Sunday, October 9th | Marina Green Fleet Week is an annual event honoring the United States Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. As is custom, military ships recently deployed in overseas operations will dock in San Francisco allowing the public to take guided tours of the ships. Fleet Week includes air shows provided by the Blue Angels at 3:00 PM each day
