The London Bus Pass / PlusBus, which must be issued as a separate ticket, will be valid for unlimited travel on the entire London Bus network, (including some sections outside the area but not on certain special services and excursions), all day on the day for which the ticket is dated and for any journey that starts before 04:30 the following day. The adult One Day Bus Pass / London PlusBus price is £3.50. There is no child One Day Bus Pass fare. GNER Web Discount

What are we planning? GNER First Advance and Standard Advance are a permanent family of leisure fares, which are based on a headline fare, followed by a number of fare steps all sharing the same terms and conditions. The First and Standard Advance family of fares provides leisure travellers with great value fares all year round. As customers increasingly choose to purchase their rail tickets online, GNER is committed to making that experience as easy as possible, and offer added value for choosing our lowest cost channel. We are doing this through two key approaches in order to support channel migration to www.gner.co.uk and to stimulate new customers. Firstly, communicating the benefits and ease of buying online, and secondly to give current customers a price differential for buying online at www.gner.co.uk, through offering a fare discount. What are the web-discounted fares and how will customers access them? Offering a lower price online will make www.gner.co.uk the cheapest channel for our headline fares. The price differential will equate to 10% off First and Standard Advance Level 1, 2 & 3 fares, when booked online. A trial of the offer will take place in June 2006 to a closed user group. An email offering the 10% on-line discount will be sent to customers to determine how well the mechanic works. The test email, will direct customers to a promotional web page. This web page will be the only way to access the GNER First and Standard Advance level 1, 2 & 3 fares with the 10% online discount. Following successful trial, the lower fares will be rolled out to all customers later in 2006, when booking on www.gner.co.uk only. Terms and Conditions All terms and conditions for GNER Advance tickets apply as normal. The only modification is that changes to travel plans must be made via the dedicated GNER Web Support telephone number in order for the customer to keep their online discount, assuming Advance levels 1, 2 or 3 are still available. If they are not, the customer pays the difference between their discounted ticket and the full cost of their new ticket. The £10 change fee is payable. Changes can also be made at stations, but the customer must pay the difference between their discounted ticket and the full cost (i.e. without the 10% discount) of their new ticket, for all walk-up or advance purchase price levels. The £10 change fee is payable. Can this online discount be purchased by anyone or from another web site? Initially, only those customers receiving the email are eligible for this on-line discount and they will only be available via www.gner.co.uk. This offer will not be available via any other web site and is also not available at stations/telesales offices. (The only exception to this is for wheelchair customers who will be directed to the GNER Assisted Travel telephone number in order to book their discounted tickets, to arrange assistance and make wheelchair reservations for their journey). Currently restriction codes 2L and 2M are included on Saver Returns to Leeds and Manchester Stations respectively. From 11th June, both restrictions will be introduced on journeys to additional destinations in close proximity to Manchester and Leeds. Examples of how these restrictions work in practice are detailed below: Example 1) Sheffield to Bolton (Route Stockport) – Restriction 2M: Customer wishes to travel to Bolton on the 0805 Liverpool service, changing at Oxford Road at 0904 onto the 0923 service to Southport, which arrives in Bolton at 0942. As this train service arrives in Manchester at 0904, the Saver Return is not valid on this journey. Instead, customers should be advised to purchase a Standard Open Return for this journey. Example 2) Sheffield to Stockport – Restriction 2M: Customer wishes to travel to Stockport on the 0842 services from Sheffield. Example 3) Hull to Dewsbury – Restriction 2L: Customer wishes to travel from Hull on the 0839 service to Manchester Piccadilly, changing at Leeds at 0937 on to the 0955 service which arrives in Dewsbury at 1006. As this service arrives in Leeds at 0937, the Saver Return is therefore valid. Thomas Orr Pricing Manager TransPennine Express 0161 228 8081
