Twenty seven species of Dusona are reported from South Korea, including 12 previously unrecorded species, D. bellipes (Holmgren, 1872), D. bicoloripes (Ashmead, 1906), D. chabarowski Hinz & Horstmann, 2004, D. cultrator (Gravenhorst, 1829), D. japonica (Cameron, 1906), D. mactatoides Hinz, 1994, D. scal- prata Horstmann, 2004, D. sasayamae Hinz & Horstmann, 2004, D. oblitera (Holmgren, 1872), D. obtutor Hinz, 1994, D. auriculator Aubert, 1964, D. longicauda (Uchida, 1928), and a new species, D. koreana sp. n. Box 14515/775, Tehran – Iran; [email protected] Preface The Ichneumonidae is one of the most species rich families of all organisms with an estimated 60000 species in the world (Townes, 1969). Even so, many authorities regard this figure as an underestimate! (Gauld, 1991). An estimated 12100 species of Ichneumonidae occur in the Afrotropical region (Africa south of the Sahara and including Madagascar) (Townes & Townes, 1973), of which only 1927 have been described (Yu, 1998). This means that roughly 16% of the afrotropical ichneumonids are known to science! These species comprise 338 genera. The family Ichneumonidae is currently split into 37 subfamilies (including, Acaenitinae; Adelognathinae; Agriotypinae; Alomyinae; Anomaloninae; Banchinae; Brachycyrtinae; Campopleginae; Collyrinae; Cremastinae; Cryptinae; Ctenopelmatinae; 1 Diplazontinae; Eucerotinae; Ichneumoninae; Labeninae; Lycorininae; Mesochorinae; Metopiinae; Microleptinae; Neorhacodinae; Ophioninae; Orthopelmatinae; Orthocentrinae; Oxytorinae; Paxylomatinae; Phrudinae; Phygadeuontinae; Pimplinae; Rhyssinae; Stilbopinae; Tersilochinae; Tryphoninae; Xoridinae) (Yu, 1998). The greater or lesser development of the epistoma, and the number of sensilla of the maxillary and labial palpi are the best characters for distinguishing between both species. Additionally, the larva of P. scurra presents spinules on the teg- ument and sensilla on the antennal orbits, but none of those structures has been de- scribed in P. divinator. Key Words: Ectoparasitoid, final-instar larva, Ichneumonidae RESUMEN Se describe la larva madura de Perithous scurra (Panzer, 1804), y se compara con la especie previamente descrita del género, P. divinator (Rossius, 1790). El mayor o menor desarrollo del epistoma, y el número de sensilas de los palpos maxilares y la- biales, son los caracteres que mejor permiten distinguir ambas especies. Adicional- mente, la larva de P. scurra presenta espínulas en el tegumento y sensilas en las órbitas antenales, aunque ninguna de estas estructuras ha sido citada en P. divinator. The immature instars of parasitic Hymenoptera have been studied by several au- thors, the classic works of Clausen (1940) and Hagen (1964) being outstanding, as are the keys for the taxonomic differentiation of mature larvae compiled by Beirne (1941), Short (1952, 1959, 1970, 1976), Finlayson (1967, 1975) and Capek (1970). -

Eight new species of Casinaria Holmgren, 1859 are described: Casinaria castanea sp. nov. and Casinaria rubens sp. nov. from South Africa, Casinaria sellata sp. nov. from South Africa and Kenya, Casinaria kittenbergeri sp. nov. from Uganda, Casinaria papuensis sp. nov. from Papua New Guinea, Casinaria coloratilis sp. nov., Casinaria russea sp. nov. and Casinaria vesca sp. nov. from Taiwan. The Afrotropical species of the genus are overviewed, and an identification key provided. Additionally, the first reports of Casinaria granulicoxis (Seyrig, 1935) from South Africa, Casinaria albipalpis (Gravenhorst, 1829) from Sweden and Casinaria kriechbaumeri (Costa, 1884) from Cyprus are given.
