Accommodation for three nights in a Double Deluxe Suite including pre-dinner drinks, dinner and breakfast at: The Farm At Cape Kidnappers Te Awanga Hawkes Bay This morning you will be met at your accommodation by your private guide and vehicle for your full day tour of Hawke's Bay, where highlights will include food and wine, sightseeing, history, Maori Culture and artists. Enjoy a drive to the summit of Te Mata Peak for stunning views of the region (weather permitting) and lunch at a local winery. This tour includes a visit to a Marae to visit and talk with Maori who can provide a cultural welcome on to their land, spiritual insight into both their culture, and what makes the indigenous people so special. Following the tour you will be returned to your accommodation in the late afternoon (approximately 7 hours duration). Today enjoy your experience visiting the treasured native bird, the kiwi, in the wild. There are five species of kiwi in New Zealand and they are all endangered but at Cape Kidnappers a sanctuary to these precious birds, you have the opportunity to see a kiwi in its very own, natural habitat. Tours are arranged with experienced guides who work within the sanctuary. They carry out essential monitoring of the kiwi chicks after they have been released on to the property and you can join them as they check the radio transmitters and weigh and measure the birds to monitor their well-being. You will be collected from the lodge and transferred to a site close to where a chick has been located. Walks may be catered to guests’ ability but are dependent on the location of the kiwi. A portion of the price charged is transferred directly to the Cape Kidnappers Sanctuary to help them continue their work of preserving our native species (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes duration). Accommodation for two nights in a Double Junior Lodge Suite including pre-dinner drinks, dinner and breakfast at: Huka Lodge Taupo You will be met at your accommodation and transferred to the Taupo Boat Harbour. Enjoy a half day scenic charter on Lake Taupo, cruise around the northern bays of Lake Taupo while you enjoy a delicious lunch on board. Enjoy breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains as you make your way to the Maori rock carvings and to Kaipo Bay. Learn about the geological history and Maori mythology surrounding the lake from your friendly skipper. Should you wish there is also the opportunity to enjoy some fishing on the lake today. Return to Taupo and you will be transferred to your accommodation (approximately 4 hours duration). This morning you will be met at your accommodation by your private vehicle and driver and transferred to Rotorua Airport prior to your onward flight (approximately 1 hours journey). Enroute enjoy a visit to Wai-O-Tapu (Sacred Waters) New Zealand’s most colourful and diverse active volcanic area with dramatic geysers, mineral terraces, lakes, craters and bubbling mud pools. As you follow the trails you are introduced to a uniquely different natural landscape, the key to what you see lies below the surface, of one of the most extensive geothermal systems in New Zealand extending over 18 square kilometres (allow approximately 1 hour 30 minutes). Fly Rotorua to Christchurch (cost not included) On arrival at Christchurch Airport you will be met by your private driver and vehicle and transferred to your accommodation (approximately 40 minutes journey). Fly over the famous Milford Track, Lake Quill and the Sutherland Falls to Milford Sound where you will land and have the opportunity to explore. You will then fly to the mouth of the Sound and along the rugged West Coast where you will have the opportunity to view seals in their natural colonies and other wild life. From the Tasman Sea you will fly inland over glaciers and frozen lakes before landing in a remote wilderness site to enjoy a picnic lunch. On conclusion of your excursion you will be returned to your accommodation (approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes duration). The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the gracious surroundings of Blanket Bay directly overlooking Lake Wakatipu and the mountains beyond. These legal submissions are filed on behalf of Queenstown Airport Corporation Limited (QAC) in respect of its further submission on the Queenstown Lakes Proposed District Plan (PDP) addressing an original submission (OS31021) by Corbridge Estates Limited Partnership (Corbridge) to rezone approximately 322 ha of land located at 707 Wanaka-Luggate Highway Limited from Rural Zone to Rural Visitor Zone (RVA). 2. The Corbridge land is proximate to Wanaka Airport (Airport), under the Airport’s main flight path, and partly within the Airport’s Operative Outer Control Boundary (OCB). 3. QAC is responsible for the management and planning of Wanaka Airport pursuant to a long-term lease by Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC). 4. QAC opposes the Corbridge submission for reverse sensitivity and amenity reasons and seeks retention of the land’s Rural zoning. Legal Framework 5. Ms Scott for QLDC has addressed the statutory framework within which decisions on submissions and further submissions must be made.1 Ms Scott’s submissions are generally accepted as correct and adopted here. 6. All but a handful of the 180 seats on flight JQ293 from Wellington were filled, with the A320 aircraft touching down in Queenstown mid-morning. Meanwhile, more than 170 passengers winged their way across the Tasman from Sydney on flight JQ223 to arrive in Queenstown mid-afternoon. Jetstar Australia & NZ CEO, David Hall, joined Queenstown Airport CEO, Steve Sanderson, and Destination Queenstown CEO, Tony Everitt, in welcoming passengers. “We’re pleased to be bringing friends and families together for Christmas, and more visitors to Queenstown,” Mr Hall said. “In addition to our new Sydney and Wellington flights, we’ve introduced an extra weekly Melbourne service and two extra weekly flights to Auckland. “In total, these services have the potential to bring an additional 180,000 additional travellers into the region each year,” said Mr Hall said. “Our low fares, which are at least 30 per cent lower than our competitor’s, mean travellers have more money to spend once they arrive.” Mr Sanderson said: “Today’s inaugural flights represent another significant inbound tourism injection for Queenstown.

We are working hard with Government, the New Zealand Aviation Coalition and the Australia New Zealand Leaders Forum to help the industry recover. As one of the best short stay destinations in the country, the Wellington region will continue to play a significant role in both domestic and international tourism. Like the entire aviation industry, our passenger numbers and operations were severely impacted by Covid-19 at the tail end of the financial year.
