This morning you will be met at your accommodation by your private guide and vehicle for your full day tour of Hawke's Bay, where highlights will include food and wine, sightseeing, history, Maori Culture and artists. Enjoy a drive to the summit of Te Mata Peak for stunning views of the region (weather permitting) and lunch at a local winery.

This tour includes a visit to a Marae to visit and talk with Maori who can provide a cultural welcome on to their land, spiritual insight into both their culture, and what makes the indigenous people so special. Following the tour you will be returned to your accommodation in the late afternoon (approximately 7 hours duration).

Today enjoy your experience visiting the treasured native bird, the kiwi, in the wild. There are five species of kiwi in New Zealand and they are all endangered but at Cape Kidnappers a sanctuary to these precious birds, you have the opportunity to see a kiwi in its very own, natural habitat. Tours are arranged with experienced guides who work within the sanctuary. They carry out essential monitoring of the kiwi chicks after they have been released on to the property and you can join them as they check the radio transmitters and weigh and measure the birds to monitor their well-being. You will be collected from the lodge and transferred to a site close to where a chick has been located. Walks may be catered to guests’ ability but are dependent on the location of the kiwi. A portion of the price charged is transferred directly to the Cape Kidnappers Sanctuary to help them continue their work of preserving our native species (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes duration).

You will be met at your accommodation and transferred to the Taupo Boat Harbour.

Enjoy a half day scenic charter on Lake Taupo, cruise around the northern bays of Lake Taupo while you enjoy a delicious lunch on board. Enjoy breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains as you make your way to the Maori rock carvings and to Kaipo Bay. Learn about the geological history and Maori mythology surrounding the lake from your friendly skipper. Should you wish there is also the opportunity to enjoy some fishing on the lake today.

Return to Taupo and you will be transferred to your accommodation (approximately 4 hours duration).

Enroute enjoy a visit to Wai-O-Tapu (Sacred Waters) New Zealand’s most colourful and diverse active volcanic area with dramatic geysers, mineral terraces, lakes, craters and bubbling mud pools. As you follow the trails you are introduced to a uniquely different natural landscape, the key to what you see lies below the surface, of one of the most extensive geothermal systems in New Zealand extending over 18 square kilometres (allow approximately 1 hour 30 minutes).

This afternoon enjoy a three hour hands on cooking lesson at Otahuna Lodge with executive chef Jimmy McIntyre. Classes incorporate a harvesting visit to Otahuna’s organic working gardens, provide an introduction to planning menus and offer a special chance to learn first-hand cooking techniques in their kitchens before tasting the results for yourself.

On arrival at Christchurch Airport you will be met by your private driver and vehicle and transferred to your accommodation (approximately 40 minutes journey).

Fly Christchurch to Queenstown (cost not included)

On arrival at Queenstown Airport you will be met by your private vehicle and driver and transferred along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to your accommodation at Glenorchy (approximately 1 hours journey).

Today you will be met at your accommodation by your private helicopter to enjoy a scenic flight over spectacular .

Fly over the famous Milford Track, Lake Quill and the Sutherland Falls to Milford Sound where you will land and have the opportunity to explore. You will then fly to the mouth of the Sound and along the rugged West Coast where you will have the opportunity to view seals in their natural colonies and other wild life. From the Tasman Sea you will fly inland over glaciers and frozen lakes before landing in a remote wilderness site to enjoy a picnic lunch. On conclusion of your excursion you will be returned to your accommodation (approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes duration).

The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the gracious surroundings of Blanket Bay directly overlooking Lake Wakatipu and the mountains beyond. Enjoy the facilities available at the lodge such as the games room – self service bar, pool table, TV lounge, cards tables and shuffle board, fully equipped gym, steam rooms and spa, outdoor lap pool, private jetty with boat and mountain bikes and canoes.

Today you will be met at Blanket Bay's jetty by your guide and private jet boat for your excursion on the Dart River.

Following a briefing you will journey by four-wheel-drive coach deep into the heart of the world- renowned Mt Aspiring National Park, where myth, heritage and fantasy come to life. You’ll experience a unique combination of breath-taking scenery and an exhilarating jet boat ride as we travel up the braided, glacier-fed rivers. Your guides give you their authentic touch, talking about the area’s rich history, the Greenstone Trail and countless Maori legends.
