- 1 - 1 Daily Report 111/2021 15 May 20211 Summary In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded 197 ceasefire violations, including 92 explosions. In the previous reporting period, it recorded 208 ceasefire violations in the region. In Luhansk region, the Mission recorded 74 ceasefire violations, including 49 explosions. In the previous reporting period, it recorded 332 ceasefire violations in the region. The SMM saw fresh damage to and near four houses (of which three inhabited) near Marinka, Donetsk region. Small-arms fire was assessed as directed at an SMM mid-range unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near Chermalyk. The SMM continued monitoring the disengagement areas near Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrivske. Its UAVs spotted people inside the disengagement area near Petrivske. The Mission facilitated and monitored adherence to localized ceasefires to enable the operation of critical civilian infrastructure. The SMM continued following up on the situation of civilians, including at four entry-exit checkpoints and the corresponding checkpoints of the armed formations in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The Mission’s freedom of movement continued to be restricted, including at a checkpoint of the armed formations near Horlivka, Donetsk region and at a border crossing point near non-government-controlled Voznesenivka (formerly Chervonopartyzansk), Luhansk region. - 1 - 1 Daily Report 185/2021 10 August 20211 Summary In Donetsk region, the SMM recorded 28 ceasefire violations, including one explosion. In the previous 24 hours, it recorded 116 ceasefire violations in the region. In Luhansk region, the Mission recorded no ceasefire violations. In the previous 24 hours, it recorded 75 ceasefire violations. The SMM followed up on reports of a man injured due to shelling in government-controlled Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region. The Mission continued monitoring the disengagement areas near Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote and Petrivske. It recorded ceasefire violations inside the disengagement area near Petrivske. The SMM facilitated and monitored adherence to a localized ceasefire to enable the operation of critical civilian infrastructure. The Mission continued following up on the situation of civilians, including at four entry-exit checkpoints and three corresponding checkpoints of the armed formations in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The SMM visited a border crossing point outside government control and monitored areas near the border with the Russian Federation in Donetsk region. The SMM monitored a gathering in Kyiv. The Mission’s freedom of movement continued to be restricted, including at three checkpoints of the armed formations in southern Donetsk. The communities were carefully selected in line with the project’s objectives and applications received from local authorities. Preference was given to the communities in close proximity to the “contact line” and to exit and entry checkpoints (EECPs), as well as large districts with a significant proportion of rural residents. Last but not least, the interest of communities in working and closely cooperating with the programme was assessed so as to ensure the sustainability of subsequent results. As a result, the following communities were selected to participate in the “Mobile Service Delivery for Conflict-Affected Populations in Eastern Ukraine” Project: Kurakhove, Mariinka, Mariupol, Siversk and Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast, and Novoaidar, Popasna, Shchastia, Sievierodonetsk and Stanytsia Luhanska in Luhansk Oblast (see Figure 1). -

Situation Report No. 35 – Ukraine | 1 UKRAINE Situation report No.35 as of 10 April 2015 This report is produced by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in collaboration with humanitarian partners. It covers period of 3 to 10 April 2015, unless otherwise noted. The next report will be published on or around 17 April. Highlights1 ● Rapidly increasing food prices, decreased food consumption have impacted the lives of many in the eastern oblasts of the country. ● Access to social services such as pension and salaries remains suspended in many conflict-affected areas. ● Access constrains related to bureaucratic procedures and different practices in the field continue hinder response. ● Funding for humanitarian operations remains low: only 18 percent of the USD 316 required for 2015 has been funded or pledged. 1.2 million registered IDPs Source: Ministry of Social Policy (MoSP) This product only portrays displacement in Eastern oblasts. 76% of total IDPs are registered in five oblasts of Eastern Ukraine. Situation Overview Lack of access to food has greatly increased since October/November 2014, especially for conflict affected population living in non-government controlled areas. Rapidly increasing food prices, decreased food consumption and decreased diet quality have significantly impacted the lives of IDPs in the eastern oblasts of the country. At the same time, main food security activities are still concentrated in big cities and urban areas, while small localities are unattended and IDPs have very limited access to food support or basic humanitarian assistance. Concerns related to impeded access to social services by IDPs and conflict-affected people continue to increase in both government controlled and non-government controlled areas. -

Russia's On-Going Aggression Against Ukraine and Illegal
PC.DEL/1753/16 21 December 2016 ENGLISH only Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna Statement on “Russia’s on-going aggression against Ukraine and illegal occupation of Crimea” As delivered by the Delegation of Ukraine to the 1125th special meeting of the Permanent Council, 20 December 2016 Mr. Chairman, I regret to inform the Permanent Council that the Russian aggression against Ukraine continues unabated and the last few days registered a deadly spike in hostilities. In particular, the combined Russian-separatist forces undertook an offensive operation to seize control of Ukrainian Armed Forces positions and territory near the town of Svitlodarsk. From early morning of 18 December 2016 the combined Russian-separatist forces resorted to intensive shelling of the Ukrainian positions near Svitlodarsk with the use of mortars - nearly 700 mortar rounds were fired - and tubed artillery. They conducted the shelling positioning their weapons in the residential areas of Debaltseve, Vuhlehirsk, Kalynivka. The extended artillery attack was followed by an offensive operation of the combined Russian-separatist forces aiming to advance in the direction of the settlement of Luhanske and to seize strategically important locations controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the course of the day repeated attempts of advance were undertaken accompanied by three massive artillery shellings lasting from three to six hours each. The shellings damaged the civilian infrastructure facilities and power lines leaving Svitlodarsk and villages around it without electricity. In the evening, three artillery shells exploded near the school in Luhanske. The attacks were repelled by the defences and a counter- attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, making the units of the combined Russian- separatist forces retreat. -
