SKULLDUGGERY: The Musical Prequel to Hamlet book, lyrics & music by Michael Shaw Fisher directed by Scott Leggett musical direction by Michael Teoli choreography by Natasha Norman

EXTENDED! Check SacredFools.org for dates!

WORLD PREMIERE! OVATION RECOMMENDED! Never trust a ghost. Let the Gravediggers take you back in time to reveal the tale you’ve never heard behind the greatest play in the English language. Skullduggery: The Musical Prequel To Hamlet follows the twisted love triangle of Claudius, Gertrude and Hamlet Sr. as it spins, song by song, the unlikely journey of these lovers from innocent youth to the climactic moment of Hamlet Sr.’s “most foul” murder. All sides shall be told. All bones shall be heard. After all, a grieving son’s point of view can’t always be trusted.

Cast

Halle Charlton (Laura) caught the acting bug at the age of 5 when she wouldn't answer to anything but Luke Skywalker for 4 months. After ruling out dissociative personality disorder, she continued her reign of terror at Crossroads School, and then UCLA Theatre program. She stepped onto the Fool's stage when she played Bets in the west coast premiere of Occupation, understudied Meredith in Past Time, and now again in MOM’S DEAD. TV/Movie/Commercial highlights include guest-starring on Harry's Law, commercials for Honda and Best Buy, and playing a sassy 16 year old in Ouija: Origin of Evil. She is also a singer-songwriter and ASCAP scholarship recipient. Thanks to this wonderful team of humans. She's thrilled to be a Fool.

Mark Costello (Arthur) is happy to be making his first appearance at Sacred Fools. He has been a member at The Road Theatre Company for six years, where he received two Scenie awards from StageScene L.A. for Best Performance By A Featured Actor (Intimate Theatre), for his work in Finding Fossils and John Is A Father. In 2014 he appeared at The Odyssey Theatre in A Delicate Balance which won The McCulloh Award from The L.A. Drama Critics Circle for best revival. He has appeared in Criminal Minds, The West Wing, JAG, NYPD Blue, ER and Dynasty as well as thirty other film and television productions. He is an avid traveler and once enjoyed a Commercial Fishing career for 35 years every summer up in Alaska.

Eric Giancoli (Mike) has been performing with Sacred fools for 13 years and a company member for the past 7. He has performed in Midnight Brainwash Revival, Richard III, A Kind of Love Story, Triple Crown, Slow and Tight 3 and written/performed in Serial Killers and Fast and Loose. He has also been the Grant Writer for 6 Seasons. Eric has performed at The Metropolitan Opera House, 92nd Street Y, The Second City in Chicago, The Walnut St. Theater and regional theaters in Philadelphia, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. His independent film, Big True, recently premiered in Theaters in NY and his one act play, The Devil's Parole, is published by Samuel French.

Cameron Kasal (Gary) is an OC-based performer who originated the role of Gary in the original Serial Killers production of MOM’S DEAD. He has been performing for over ten years and has appeared in movies and shows such as The Muppets (2011) and Trophy Wife. He can soon be seen in Just Add Magic on Amazon... and that’s pretty much it. What else is left to write in this thing? Are you still reading this? Really? You already saw what he was in. What more do you want? Sacred Fools member Ben Rock once described him as “pretty much the all around greatest guy.” You can’t prove he didn’t. You should seriously just go and read some of the other actors’ bios! They’re amazing!

Taylor Marr (John) Upon graduating with a BFA in Film from the University of Central Florida, Taylor packed up his bedroom and his cat and moved to Los Angeles to be an actor. He spent about nine years mostly procrastinating whilst finding success as a TV editor. Now Taylor is focusing on his acting career fulltime. After five years of study with the Australian Institute for Dramatic Arts, he has starred in several short films and plays, including Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It, and Hamlet. He's thrilled to be back at Sacred Fools working with these wonderful people!

Jessica Sherman (Alice) most recently appeared on Sacred Fools' Mainstage as "Ellen" in Mickle Maher's There Is A Happiness That Morning Is. Additional SF credits include the world premieres Absolutely Filthy, Puzzler and The Magic Bullet Theory, as well as the world premiere Heydrich-Hitler- at the MET Theater. A vocalist, animal rescue advocate & photographer, Jessica's voices commercials, counts quadrupeds as best and has shot production stills for 14 Sacred Fools shows (Skullduggery, Past Time & Astro Boy, most recently). She's incredibly grateful to share the hysterical dysfunction with her talented stage family in Nathan Wellman's cleverly crafted tale, & to Alicia Conway Rock for the humbling opportunity to participate in the debut of MOM’S DEAD. From the Creators of Serial Killers! THE BOX is an experiment in randomly generated narrative. Given a collection of characters and settings from which to choose, writers will create fragments – small scenes and snippets that will then be put together randomly and performed each night. The hope is that a story will emerge - one that is dark, mysterious, and moving. There are a million different stories in THE BOX. In the end, we will hear just one.
