The sharing of library resources and services is the modern trend of library development in the world. OCLC has been taking this as its mission and done great works in leading the libraries to link people and knowledge together. We are very much in favor of that and hope that will lead as always OCLC Chinese members to actively participate in any kinds of sharing projects to promote and contribute to OCLC global cooperation. Tsinghua University Library has a long cooperation history with OCLC. As the first partner of OCLC in Mainland China, Tsinghua University Library has been the organizer of OCLC Electronic Resource Consortia in China. The OCLC Service Center, established in Tsinghua University in 1996, has been providing high-quality services for domestic university library users. OCLC Chinese members have grown from first dozen to today’s 150. Tsinghua University Library will further strengthen cooperation with OCLC, and will do our best to promote OCLC products and services in China. At the same time, we will provide OCLC immediate feedback of comments and suggestions from OCLC Chinese members about the OCLC organization and its products, to make better development of OCLC and its products in Mainland China.
