Leading the way will be a pair of returning pitchers in Ashley Lewis (0.84 ERA in 2000) and Britni Sneed (27-7 in 2000), while shortstop Stephanie Hastings and outfielder Dee Douglas add both speed on the basepaths as well as steady bats at the plate. SOFTBALL LSU, under first-year head coach Yvette Girouard, handed the Huskies their first loss of the SOFTBALLSOFTBALL 2000 season at the Texas Invitational, but the UW won the two schools’ next two meetings.
