  • Revival Devotion
Lord, Show us Marvelous Things. Amen Five simple words that can revive your heart for 2019. Lord, Show us Marvelous Things. Jeremiah 33:3 Amen Church Family, My prayer for our church is above. Five simple words that encapsulate my heart for our church for 2019. Thank you for continuing this journey together, as we pray for personal and corporate revival. I believe that in my time as your pastor that the need has never been greater for revival in our church and in our homes. In order for revival to come, we must begin an inspection of our lives. This guide is written with that in mind. As you read, allow the Holy Spirit to begin the work of revival in your life. Would you be willing to pray? Jesus, You know every one of my sins. Please show me my spiritual brokenness and allow me to repent in my heart. Help me to confess and turn from my sins. Renew a right spirit within me. Let revival begin in me. I am excited to see what the Lord is going to do in and through our church family. Thanks for the honor of being your pastor. Please join me in praying... “Lord, Send a Great Revival!” Day Read Psalm 85 Jason Brown was the highest paid center in the NFL, playing for the St. Louis Rams. In late 2011, Jason had two children, and a mansion with two fully- stocked bars, yet he and his wife were "dying inside" and were likely headed toward divorce. As a Christian, Jason had to admit that his relationship with Jesus was a ticket to forgiveness and little else—until he released his grip on money and football.

  • Devotional Series: the Value of Family Family— a Divine Appointment by Leanna Simpson, Agape Executive Director
Devotional Series: The Value of Family Family— a Divine Appointment By Leanna Simpson, Agape Executive Director I SAMUEL 1:10A “And Hannah made this vow: “O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, if you will look upon my sorrow and answer my prayer and give me a son, then I will give him back to you. He will be yours for his entire lifetime...” When I think about God’s orchestration and making of a family, I think of this passage. There are so many truths and weighted complexities that come from this story of Hannah, who is praying and pleading for a child. First, she is acknowledging that only God can choose to give each of us the gift of a child and He ordains it. Whether we have carried this child or taken them in as our own, they were created by God and we have been commissioned with their rearing. Second, a child is not our possession but a gift that should be stewarded and guided as a gift on “loan” from God for a season. Every child we are given was uniquely placed and designed to be a part of our family. There are no mistakes or coincidences with God. Thirdly, a child is neither created or designed by us and their future should not be either. It is a great burden to steward a child. As they are a creation by the Divine Creator, it is with great gravity that we should forever and always understand that we must “give them back to God” and raise them up to know what is righteous and true through the grid of the Scriptures.

Song one ‘Yet not I but through Christ in me’ - by City Alight What gift of grace is Jesus my redeemer There is no more for heaven now to give He is my joy, my righteousness, and freedom My steadfast love, my deep and boundless peace To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus For my life is wholly bound to His Oh how strange and divine, I can sing: all is mine Yet not I, but through Christ in me The night is dark but I am not forsaken For by my side, the Saviour He will stay I labour on in weakness and rejoicing For in my need, His power is displayed To this I hold, my Shepherd will defend me Through the deepest valley He will lead Oh the night has been won, and I shall overcome Yet not I, but through Christ in me No fate I dread, I know I am forgiven The future sure, the price it has been paid For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon And He was raised to overthrow the grave To this I hold, my sin has been defeated Jesus now and ever is my plea Oh the chains are released, I can sing: I am free Yet not I, but through Christ in me With every breath I long to follow Jesus For He has said that He will bring me home And day by day I know He will renew me Until I stand with joy before the throne To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus All the glory evermore to Him When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat Yet not I, but through Christ in me To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus All the glory evermore to Him When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat Yet not I, but through Christ in me Yet not I, but through Christ in me http://www.cityalight.com/yet-not-i-but-through-christ-in-me/
