Male Vocals Female Vocals Keys Acoustic Guitar Electric Guitar Bass CENTERPOINT WORSHIP TEAM AUDITION Auditions are, by nature, a little intimidating. We will try to make the process as relaxed as possible. In some cases, it may be evident that an applicant’s skills have not developed enough to serve on a regularly scheduled basis. Should this be the case, those conducting the audition will give some advice on how the applicant can improve. After some time and practice another audition may be scheduled. Prepare the following songs for your audition. If a key change is required for vocal auditions, please contact the worship pastor. You are encouraged to audition with one more worship song of your choice to highlight your talent. • Thankfull Weekly Devotionals
Week 1: October 25 – 31 Being ThankFULL means paying attention “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2 Being thankful is an easy thing to do, but it takes some intentionality. We often get wrapped up in enjoying our blessings and we forget to say “thank you” to God. Other times, we get so consumed by our daily concerns and worldly troubles that we fail to recognize the blessings that are certainly present even in dark days. Colossians 4:2 says “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” There is always something to be thankful for if we are watchful and paying attention. And so, the very first step to being ThankFull, is to pay attention to what is going on around you, and where God is present and at work. Resist getting swept away by the busyness of the world, but rather ground yourself in prayer. Pause. Breathe. Listen. God is present and working among the people and the moments that often go unnoticed. David was nearly overlooked to become king because he was the youngest among Jesse’s sons (1 Samuel 16). Elijah was looking for God in the strong wind and in the earthquake, but God was actually present in the still small voice (1 Kings 19). Thankfully, it was because Samuel took notice that David became king, and it was because Elijah took notice that he was able to feel God’s presence. What will we behold if we start paying attention? During this first week of ThankFULL, try to be more watchful and pay attention to the things that usually go unnoticed.

  • Revival Devotion
Lord, Show us Marvelous Things. Amen Five simple words that can revive your heart for 2019. Lord, Show us Marvelous Things. Jeremiah 33:3 Amen Church Family, My prayer for our church is above. Five simple words that encapsulate my heart for our church for 2019. Thank you for continuing this journey together, as we pray for personal and corporate revival. I believe that in my time as your pastor that the need has never been greater for revival in our church and in our homes. In order for revival to come, we must begin an inspection of our lives. This guide is written with that in mind. As you read, allow the Holy Spirit to begin the work of revival in your life. Would you be willing to pray? Jesus, You know every one of my sins. Please show me my spiritual brokenness and allow me to repent in my heart. Help me to confess and turn from my sins. Renew a right spirit within me. Let revival begin in me. I am excited to see what the Lord is going to do in and through our church family. Thanks for the honor of being your pastor. Please join me in praying... “Lord, Send a Great Revival!” Day Read Psalm 85 Jason Brown was the highest paid center in the NFL, playing for the St. Louis Rams. In late 2011, Jason had two children, and a mansion with two fully- stocked bars, yet he and his wife were "dying inside" and were likely headed toward divorce. As a Christian, Jason had to admit that his relationship with Jesus was a ticket to forgiveness and little else—until he released his grip on money and football.

  • Sunday March 15 2020 Guide for Worship
Sunday March 15 2020 Guide for Worship Good Morning Faith Family, Even though we will not be gathered together within the walls of our church this morning, I would like to encourage us all to take time with the Lord today to speak to him and hear from him during this time of uncertainty. We hope in a God who calms all of our fears. We trust in a God above and beyond all earthly constraints. And in times like these, we turn to a God who is working out all things for our ultimate good and his infinite glory. You will find the bulletin prepared prior to canceling the service attached to this email. I hope that this provides for you a way to turn your heart to God in worship as a family, as a couple, or as an individual knowing that your faith family is doing the same all around you in Longview. Let the service order guide you in your time with God—in prayer, in song, in reflection. Below you will see links to each of the songs in the service. You will also find a short reflection on the passage attached to this email. There will be a worship guide provided for next Sunday morning, as well. Look for that coming to you this week. May the love of the Father fill you with wonder, may the grace of the Son fill you with hope, and may the fellowship of the Spirit fill you with life. • Lenten Devotional
LENT 2021 LENTEN DEVOTIONAL A DEVOTIONAL TO TRANSFORM MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT AS WE JOURNEY THROUGH THIS LENTEN SEASON INTO THE EASTER PROMISE WHAT TO EXPECT SARAH ALTENBURG As you journey through Lent, I have prepared devotional materials for you that have four key elements each day. These elements are intended to help you grow in your call as a disciple of Christ. This growth will likely look far different for all of us and each component might reach us all in different ways. It is my hope that at least one of the components is able to reach you each day and speak to your spirit. 1. Scripture - Each day will have a passage from Scripture that I will encourage you to read and reflect on. This reflecting can be done in spoken or written word. It can be done in prayer or conversation. It can be as short or as long as your time allows. 2. Song - Each day will provide a new song to listen to as well as printed lyrics. Links will be available to these songs on YouTube. If you do not have access to YouTube, please contact the church for CD options. 3. Quote - Each day will provide a quote from the perspective of a person of color. Black and brown voices are voices we do not lift up often enough. You are invited to reflect on the quote throughout the day. 4. Prayer - Each day will have a prayer that you are able to pray out loud or silently. It is my hope that these devotionals are able to meet you where you need to be met as we journey through this Lenten season.
