Skill: • Participant will be able to present their opinion/argument sistematically based on acurate and relevant information • Participant will be able to evaluate the source of natural ingredients that can be utilized as drug, food and cosmetics ingredients under certain conditions • Participant will be Able to develop a specific protocol to know the content of natural materials from marine that can be utilized as a drug ingredient • Be able to design potocol to recognize materials from the sea such as plants, , marine that can be useful as medicine, food and cosmetics Competence: Participants will be able to recognize and develop materials from the sea such as plants, symbion bacteria, marine animals that can be useful as medicine, food and cosmetics This module introduces - GBRP / Learning contract and Introduction - Introduction of types of marine natural materials - Marine Organisms Bioactive Compounds - Marine Bioactive Compounds - Bioactive compounds of bacteria, Fungi and Sea Algae Content - Microalgae and - Microbial symbionts on marine organisms - Seaweed Application in the pharmaceutical field - Marine Toxin Bioactive Compounds - Marine Peptide Bioactive Compounds - Steroids, Hormones, and Marine Prostaglandins - Alkaloid compounds from marine biota - Terpenoid compounds from Marine biota Participants are marked based on their performance in theory (70%) and practicum (30%). Study and examination Performance in theory: requirements and form of Final Exam (50%) examination Group discussion and presentation (45%) Individual quiz (15%) Lectures: slides, handouts, overhead projector, white board Group discussion: participants are divided in small groups to address specific questions within the groups Media Employed before discussing them with the whole class.
