  • Eagle News August 2021
1 Eagle News EAGLE NEWS AUGUST 2021 EVERY ADOLESCENT GROWS IN LEARNING EVERY DAY IN SURING BY BEING SAFE, OUTSTANDING, ACCOUNTABLE, AND RESPECTFUL Dear Parents and Community Members, On behalf of the Suring Public School District staff, and myself, I welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year. This summer we are preparing for the return of students to our classrooms, and we eagerly await the first day of school on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Strong community support is one of the primary strengths of our district, and we appreciate how much you offer to your own children and to our school district as a whole. We could not do it without you! Thanks to the referendum the district was able to make some improvements and sustain educationally what was done in the In-Service Dates: past. Some of those improvements include: remodeling the science classrooms, (no school) purchasing science classroom equipment, purchasing interactive boards for October 11 classrooms, new lockers in the boys locker room and hallways, painting in January 24 & 25 classrooms and hallways, flooring laid in hallways and classrooms, upgrading the February 18 track, purchasing social studies curriculum, cafeteria tables, refinishing gym floor, April 18 purchasing new stage curtains, and installing a new SAN (storage area network). The district will continue to reach the referendum goals while sustaining what we do educationally. Parent /Teacher Conference Dates: We encourage you to stay connected to what we are doing here at school, and we are (students dismissed @ 1PM) open to any help you are able to provide our students, staff and offices.
