Takapuna AFC 9/16 Takapuna AFC Welcomes Papatoetoe AFC Lotto NRFL Div 2 30 July 2016 Club History Sponsors Welcome/President’s Report On behalf of the Takapuna Committee welcome to Taharoto Park for round eighteen of the NRFL division two season. I would like to extend a warm welcome to Mark Holt his management team, players and supporters from Papatoetoe AFC. The season is now at a critical stage that the lads need to win the final four games to achieve what they set out to do at the beginning of the season. A disappointing few weeks has seen us drop points at home and at the two away games. So today we need to get back the winning feeling. I look forward to seeing an improved performance on the field from both Taka teams today. With the last game of the season scheduled for Saturday 27th August away to North Force the two teams will be traveling by luxury coach. There are limited seats for our supporters ( approximately 10) if you are planning to travel and give the team your support can you please advise Wayne Hallford (Grumpy) as soon as possible. I would like to see as many senior players, partners and club supporters attend the 2016 senior prize giving. The date is Saturday 17th September the venue is in the club lounge tickets are available at the bar at a very reasonable price of $45.00. Finally on behalf of the club executive committee and club members our thoughts and prier’s go out to our “Takapuna Family” brotherhood who are fitting with an illness. Good luck over the weekend to all Takapuna teams, hopefully your 2016 campaigns will have you league winners in 4 weeks’ time. Please enjoy today’s game and I sincerely hope that you will experience the hospitality on offer during the day and then join with members from both clubs in the clubhouse after the game for the post match player awards and socially relax in the excellent facilities we have to offer Wayne Hallford President 1st Team Report FROM THE DUGOUT Good Afternoon and welcome back to Taharoto Park for this league encounter with Papatoetoe AFC. I would like to welcome their coaches playing squad and their fans here for what I see as a very difficult fixture for us. Last weekend saw us lose our third game of the season against an organised and hardworking Te Atatu. Reflecting on the game I would say for the first time this season I have been disappointed in our performance. On poor surfaces we need to make sure we play in the right areas. It's difficult to say to our players go direct and play long balls because they are all lads who want to play the game the right way. Jenny and I preach the passing game, but if we want to continue to get results in this league we need to be able to mix our playing style up to suit the conditions and recognise moments in the game and improve our game intelligence to adjust to what is in front of us. Looking at the 90 mins on Saturday, Te Atatu had two players who caused us major problems. There weren’t many others who showed much quality on the ball, but they won the game by capitalising on our mistakes. I have no qualms about the result though we just weren’t good enough on the day. So we have lost three games all season and not played well for 90 mins. Every season has a patch where results seem to evade you it happens to the best of us! I think we all would have taken at the beginning of the season the fact that we are still in with a promotion spot. So yes, we are very disappointed to lose - but it was always going to happen. Now we have to respond positively and today we will be expecting that reaction and I’m sure the lads will have a bit of hunger to get us a result. UP THE TAKA BOYS! Joe Daw Festival Football Match New Zealand Defence Force Vs New Zealand Police On Saturday 13th August the New Zealand Defence Force Women’s team will play the New Zealand Police Women’s team at Tarahoto Park. Kick off is at 1445. The New Zealand Defence Force will host the New Zealand Police this year in contention for the rivalry trophy between the two services. NZDF won the last challenge two years ago quite convincingly and they look forward to the new revamped team NZ Police have this year. There are a few significant milestones this year; The Royal New Zealand Navy are celebrating 75 years of service; 30 years of Women at Sea; and The NZ Police are celebrating 75 years of Women serving in the service. In the last 10 years Takapuna has had a long history with both teams, as Players/coaches/ managers have played for the club as well as representing their work place. The shield both teams play for was donated by two club members who have had a great deal to do with both teams. Amanda Cole has been a major driving force between the Police teams for a number of years. Amanda played a number of positions for the Takapuna Women’s first team. Nick Rzepecky has been involved with the coaching of the NZDF Women's team for a number of years. He has played for most teams at Taka and coached the Women’s team as well. Although competition between NZ Police Woman ands the NZDF goes back further than the first trophy game was in 2009. The idea now is to formalise the game between NZ Police Woman and NZDF Woman into a bi annual event. The Cole—Rzepecky Shield was been played for on three occasions to date: 2009 - NZ Defence 2010 - NZ Police 2014 - NZ Defence Good luck to both teams and a special those players from Takapuna AFC who are involved. Reserve Team Report Coming off a frustrating loss to Fencibles the week before, we were looking to rectify a series of substandard performances and get back to our best against a very physical Te Atatu side. Our first-half performance was one to forget. Emile "The Clown" McArthur had deliberately denied a goal scoring opportunity with what appeared to be a volleyball spike of the ball to see himself sent off and concede a penalty. 9 minutes in we were 1-0 and one man down. Never being in such a situation before, we couldn't quite figure out how to shape ourselves and very quickly forgot to go back to basics by being calm and patient on the ball. Half-time couldn't come any quicker after a diabolical first-half and we were very lucky to only be 2-0 down. It was definitely a game of two-halves. The lads quickly went out to prove why we are top of the league and why Takapuna AFC have been a force to reckon with the entire season. Every single player on the pitch gave their everything. Fought for every ball, put their bodies on the line, showing sheer courage, determination and pride. Pulling one back we looked all the more likely to score and score again. We were unlucky to not have grabbed more goals than we did. Graced with a last minute penalty, our composed and confident captain sent the keeper the wrong way to even the score. Although just a draw, it was something we deserved. Something we earned. By putting on a display of character and heart throughout the second half we proved Takapuna's worth. We know again this week is another tough game against another physical team, Papatoetoe. We have the home advantage and will be looking to take every bit of that. Heading down the home straight towards the end of the season we look to go out in our last few games as we so dominated the first-half of the year. We love you Taka, we do! I’m sure there’s a good reason why we do it... Management Our start to the season has been solid enough. A close Committee loss at Manurewa was followed by a home victory over Onehunga Mangere that was a little more exciting than it Patron needed to be. Last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Takapuna was Jack Poole a real battle. It took us until mid-June to get our fi rst point in Auckland last season, so it was great to get that little President monkey off the back nice and early this time around. Last Sundays result wasn’t what we wanted but I have to say that the signs are there and with some accurate shooting and passing the result could have been a lot different. To both sides keep the effort up and I look forward to the start of the second round. I am positive we will start to see the results we as members, coaches and players want. A reminder that it is the second round of the Chatham Cup against Hibiscus Coast away on Monday 2nd June at 2pm. So folks think about the trip up again and hopefully a change in results. Sorry to see the Division Six side disbanded but to those who gave it a go well done. Hopefully something to work on for next year. A champion will definitely be found in the final round of the Women’s Premier on Sunday with Claudelands Rovers appearing likely to wrestle the crown off Forrest Hill-Milford United. The champions-in-waiting need just a point from the visit of relegated Fencibles United while Forrest Hill must make sure they beat Papatoetoe and pray for a miracle down in Hamilton. In the men’s action, a quirk of the draw has pitted the top two sides against each other in both the Premier League and Division One, creating what amounts to a pair of title deciders. Eastern Suburbs will claim the top-flight gong if they beat Hamilton Wanderers while Forrest Hill can do the same in their northern derby against North Shore United in the first division. Division Two title favourites Papakura City could also wrap things up in Sunday’s trip to AFC Fury but that would depend on Oratia United suffering an upset loss at home to Papatoetoe on Saturday.

Box 75 122 War Memorial Park Manurewa Gibbs Rd Auckland Manurewa Phone: (09) 267 1120 www.manurewaafc.org.nz Hello again everyone and welcome to our first derby match for a couple of seasons. These matches are usually hard fought and entertaining regardless of where the teams currently stand on the results ladder. I expect today will be no different. At Manurewa this year we have embarked on a new coaching strategy for the 1st and reserves teams and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Hoani, Nathan, Mark & Steve for giving it a real attempt. We also have two relatively youthful sides this year that I would encourage to gel as a team, learn together and get stronger and better as individuals and as team players. We also welcome a couple of players from overseas, penalty saver Mataias and what red card Pablo. I hope you guys have settled in and are enjoying your time playing for Manurewa. Also welcome back Stephen Carmichael to the club, [I coached him when he was a youngster, oh he still is a youngster] he has scored more goals in three games than one of his coaches did in a year, [let you guess who that is]. To our supporters, once again thank you for the great turn out in numbers, whether home or away, it’s what gets this club mentioned in one way or another and I'm sure it does lift our teams.

  • Community Resilience Fund – Phase Two
BACKGROUND INFORMATION Community Resilience Fund – Phase Two Provided to the Minister’s office on 9 October 2020 Purpose 1. The purpose of this briefing is to provide you with the final amounts awarded through the Community Resilience Fund – Phase Two (CRF 2). This background document will be proactively released on Sport NZ’s website on Wednesday 14 October 2020 Community Resilience Fund – Phase Two Overview 2. CRF was initially a $10M fund, distributed by Regional Sports Trusts (RSTs) to regional and local organisations. Due to the demand for the fund in the initial three weeks, further funding was approved and the total fund was increased to $15M. 3. RSTs have approved 2,070 applications and have allocated just over $14.954 million for regional and local organisations to cover fixed and operational costs for the period 1 July 2020 to 30 September 2020. 4. Applications for the fund closed on Friday 4 September 2020. However, Aktive received a two week extension to close on Friday 18 September 2020 as a result of Auckland being placed into Alert Level 3. We anticipated that this would result in worsening financial situations for organisations in the regions due to further reductions in revenue, and an increase in the number of organisations that were eligible to apply for support. Outlined in the tables below are details of the recipients and amounts awarded through the CRF 2. Note: Funds paid to applicants were inclusive of Government Services Tax where applicable. PPULLINGULLING A SSWIFTWIFT OONENE OOfffi ccialial MatamataMatamata AFCAFC matchmatch dayday programmeprogramme Matamata Swifts v Papatoetoe AFC NRFL Division 1A Saturday July 24, 2010 Matamata Domain, Matamata Kick-off 2.45pm A Few Kind Words Welcome back to the Domain for today’s fi xture against Papatoetoe. We’re starting to get used to the idea of playing new clubs just about every week and today is no exception. We know bugger all about today’s visitors and 2010 I’m sure they know pretty much the same about us. I guess that means that this match will unfold totally on its Management own merits and not be infl uenced by any pre-conceived Committee ideas. That will, at least, be good for the fans. It would be fair to say that our primary goal for the Patron season has been achieved - that being to make the top Jack Poole six of NRFL Division 1. That is quite an achievement for a club that hasn’t been in any Northern League competition President since 1998. As it stands, however, we can’t drift into the Dwayne Barlow end of the season thinking our job is done. The cut-throat Vice-Presidents nature of the new NRFL Division 1A that we now fi nd Peter Challis ourselves in means our next six games are all cup fi nals Malcolm Raynel (sorry, tired football cliche there). Our aim now has to be to make the top six of this division, which will mean Treasurer avoiding the relegation play-offs. I’m guessing everyone Dave Mann else will have that on their minds too, so it won’t be easy.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to the management team, players and supporters from Papatoetoe AFC. A small reminder to our home teams today—clean your changing room out after your game and look after your opposition, showing them the best of what Takapuna has to offer on and off the pitch. Finally a reminder that the club has a policy of no drinking in the changing rooms. If we are caught this could affect our bar license. Good luck over the weekend to all Takapuna teams. Please enjoy today’s game and I sincerely hope that you will experience the hospitality on offer during the day and then join with members from both clubs in the clubhouse after the game for the post match player awards and socially relax in the excellent facilities we have to offer. Wayne Hallford President 1st Team Report View from the Dugout Good afternoon and it’s great to be back on the best pitch in Auckland - Taharoto Park. Firstly I would like to welcome Papatoetoe’s players, staff, and coaching team and I hope you will enjoy our wonderful facility’s here. Last week’s 4-0 win at home was just what the doctor ordered after our defect on the Island the week before. We wanted to show to ourselves and our members that we can bounce back and do it with style, and if it wasn’t for the fantastic display by the away keeper it could have been many more.

That leads me to another battle faced by one of our members. I'm sure many of you are aware of the devastating attack Paul Margee fell victim to last month.
