Chapitre VI La ville et ses équipements collectifs Introduction L'intérêt accordé à la connaissance du milieu urbain et de ses équipements collectifs suscite un intérêt croissant, en raison de l’urbanisation accélérée que connaît le pays, et de son effet sur les équipements et les dysfonctionnements liés à la répartition des infrastructures. Pour résorber ce déséquilibre et assurer la satisfaction des besoins, le développement d'un réseau d'équipements collectifs appropriés s'impose. Tant que ce déséquilibre persiste, le problème de la marginalisation sociale, qui s’intensifie avec le chômage et la pauvreté va continuer à se poser La politique des équipements collectifs doit donc occuper une place centrale dans la stratégie de développement, particulièrement dans le cadre de l’aménagement du territoire. La distribution spatiale de la population et par conséquent des activités économiques, est certes liée aux conditions naturelles, difficiles à modifier. Néanmoins, l'aménagement de l'espace par le biais d'une politique active peut constituer un outil efficace pour mettre en place des conditions favorables à la réduction des disparités. Cette politique requiert des informations fiables à un niveau fin sur l'espace à aménager. La présente étude se réfère à la Base de données communales en milieu urbain (BA.DO.C) de 1997, élaborée par la Direction de la Statistique et concerne le niveau géographique le plus fin à savoir les communes urbaines, qui constituent l'élément de base de la décentralisation et le cadre d'application de la démocratie locale. Au recensement de 1982, était considéré comme espace urbain toute agglomération ayant un minimum de 1 500 habitants et qui présentait au moins quatre des sept conditions énumérées en infra1. -

Abstract. The present work contributes to the multidisciplinary geological, hydrogeological, and geophysical exploration of groundwater in the Bir Tam-Tam region of the Fez-Taza corridor. Our main objective is to release water resources in our study area to supply drinking water in the region and irrigation of agricultural areas. Potential zones are located at the Lias fracturing zones. This study is interested in understanding the hydrogeological context of the study area through geophysical methods such as Electrical Tomography. The comparison of geological data, Drilling data, and the interpretation of the results of electrical Tomography have made it possible to highlight the geoelectric levels likely to constitute a potential aquifer and to locate possible structural accidents (faults) affecting the dolomitic limestone formations of Lias that could drain groundwater. 1 Introduction as the crow flies, about 40 km ESE of the city of Fez, 30 km NE of the city of Sefrou, 57 km SW of the city of The need for water in the world is increasing more and Taza and 11 km S of the dam of Idriss Premier. -

Soil Study Center (CES)-LPEE. Morocco Abstract Northern Morocco, landslides play a role in the evolution of slopes. The geological and geotechnical studies of the ground are most often motivated by the search for solutions to a movement said. Thus, the objective of this work is to study the stability of the embankment with the passage of the vehicle PV113 section of the A2 highway between Oued Amlil and Taza. Stability calculations have concluded that the break is sliding rotational type, and a circular type failure, the surface would be at 10m depth. Action of water in the embankment and into the substrate altered favored pore pressure exceeds the shear strength, leading to the development of the driving forces sufficient to move. The purpose of this scientific approach is to establish, based on a specific slip case study, a methodology that can be used and transposed to geology for sites that can slide and have a similar material or lithology, the same predisposing factors and the same geomorphological and geological context, which above all makes it possible to identify the direct and indirect causes of this risk in a context of climate change. -

Britton Co-Chairperson: Dr. Gail Buttorff Date Approved: 31 May 2018 iii Abstract This dissertation aims to understand why protests lessen when they do by investigating how and why social movements demobilize. I do this by questioning the causal link between consistent state polices (concessions or repression) and social movement demobilization. My interviews with the February 20 Movement, the main organizer of mass protests in Morocco during the Arab Spring, reveals how ideological differences between leftist and Islamist participants led to the group’s eventual halt of protests. During my fieldwork, I conducted 46 semi-structured elite interviews with civil society activists, political party leaders, MPs, and independent activists throughout Morocco. My interviews demonstrate that the February 20 Movement was initially united, but that this incrementally changed following the King’s mixed-policy of concessions and repression. The King’s concessionary policies convinced society that demands were being met and therefore led to the perception that the February 20 Movement was no longer needed, while repression highlighted internal divides.
