Our module layout is housed in the back of the hobby building “D”. There is no air conditioning and hav- ing to wear a mask I thought wow this is going to be un- bearable considering the show was from 10 AM to 9 PM. We had a full crew show up at 10 Wednesday morning and most stayed on when I arrived for my 2 o’clock shift. For some reason, I had one car on my train that kept derailing on the curve by the green house. David had the same expe- rience with one of his cars. Fortunately we had a track ex- pert Mike Phillips who found the problem; the rail jointers at two locations needed a slight adjust.     Liestal, 14. September 2018 Medienmitteilung Wichtiger Erfolg für das Agglomerationsprogramm Basel. Der Vollanschluss Aesch wird zur höchsten Priorität. Die Agglomeration Basel erringt im Wettbewerb um Bundesmittel einen wichtigen Erfolg. Für die 3. Generation erhält das Agglomerationsprogramm Basel gemäss Bundesratsbeschluss insgesamt CHF 110 Mio. für Verkehrsprojekte. Der Vollanschluss Aesch an der A18 ist neu ein A-Projekt und wird durch den Bund zu 40% mitfinanziert. Ende Dezember 2016 hat die Agglomeration Basel das 3. Programm beim Bund eingereicht. Nach Abschluss der technischen Prüfung im Sommer 2017 gab der Bund im Januar 2018 den Botschaftsentwurf in die Vernehmlassung. Darin waren zentrale Anliegen der trinationalen Agglomeration Basel allerdings nicht berücksichtigt. Die trinationale Trägerschaft hat daraufhin gemeinsam zum Botschaftsentwurf Stellung bezogen, dem Bund wichtige Informationen und Anregungen übergeben und mit Nachdruck Verbesserungen gefordert. Der Bundesrat hat nun in der am 14. September 2018 zu Händen des Parlaments verabschiedeten Botschaft über die Verpflichtungskredite ab 2019 für die Beiträge an Massnahmen im Rahmen des Programms Agglomerationsverkehr zentrale Forderungen der Trägerschaft des Agglomerationsprogramms Basel berücksichtigt. Der Beschluss des Eidgenössischen Parlaments wird im 2. Quartal 2019 erwartet. There is considerable anthropological importance and research within the study of spectacle and circus. However, there is a limited amount of academic literature pertaining to the linguistics and semiotics of circus. Through participant observation and interviewing, of both circus and non-circus individuals, data will be acquired and analyzed. Further research will provide background information of both types of circuses. Results indicate that an individual's preference can be determined based on the linguistic and semiotic terms used when describing the circus. Introduction Throughout my life, I have always been intrigued by the circus. As a result, I joined the Gamma Phi Circus, here at Illinois State University, in order to obtain a better understanding of circus in our culture. A brief explanation of the title is useful in understanding my paper. I chose the title "Through the 'Front Door' to the 'Backyard'" because "front door" is circus lingo for the doors that a person goes through on entering the tent. The word "backyard" refers to the area in which behind the tent where all the people in the production of the circus park their trailers. This title encompasses the range of information that I have gathered from performers, to directors, to audience members.

Constantinescu Faculty Material’s Science and Engineering, University Politehnica of Bucharest, Romania Abstract There are many things to learn from the past regarding ancient settlements, the ancient organization of cities, the structures of the buildings and concerning the everyday life of our ancestors. There are numerous sites along the Danube River which were once included in the economic and defensive system of the Roman Empire. Many of them are not well known today or studies are in their very early stages. Sucidava is an example of a Daco-Roman historical defence site, situated on the north bank of the Danube. The ancient heritage site covers more than two hectares; comprising the Roman-Byzantine basilica of the 4th century, the oldest place of worship north of the Danube, the building containing the hypocaust dates from the late 6th century AD, Constantine the Great portal bridge, to span the Danube river, the gates linking the bridge and city, a Roman fountain dating from the 2nd century AD. This entire defensive and communication system stands as a testimony to the complexity of an historical conception. However, how was it possible that such sophisticated structures have been partially or totally destroyed? Certainly not only economic and military aspects might be a likely explanation. The present article considers the evolution of the sites from cultural ecology point of view, as well as taking into consideration environmental and climatic changes. Doubtless, the overall evolution of this site is not singular.
