Nel triennio 2013-2015 sono stati indagati gli Ortotteri del Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio nell’ambito del “Progetto di Monitoraggio della Biodiversità alpina”. Si presenta una prima check-list dell’area Protetta, unitamente ad indicazioni preliminari ecologiche e biogeografiche sui taxa rilevati. Sono state censite 40 specie (16 Ensifera, 24 Caelifera), corrispondenti all’11% dell’ortotterofauna italiana. È stata riscontrata una netta diversificazione su base geografica nella composizione specifica dei diversi settori dell’area Protetta. Il genere Barbitistes è rappre- sentato da B. serricauda nel settore altoatesino e da B. alpinus nei settori trentino e lombardo. Kisella irena è diffusa nelle sole valli di Peio e Rabbi, in continuità con l’areale della specie in Trentino. Inaspettatamente Euthystira brachyptera è stata rilevata nel solo settore lombardo, sebbene apparentemente vi sia ampia disponibilità di habitat per questa specie anche nella restante parte dell’area di studio. Omocestus hae- morrhoidalis e Chorthippus vagans sono stati rilevati nella sola Val Venosta (BZ). La presenza di due specie, note per il Parco su basi biblio- grafiche, non è stata confermata nell’ambito del presente studio: Celes variabilis e Ruspolia nitidula. Presso Martello (BZ) è stata rinvenuta la prima stazione di presenza interna al Parco di Tettigonia caudata, rara in Italia. Due taxa di notevole interesse conservazionistico, Epacromius tergestinus ponticus e Crysochraon dispar, segnalati nel secolo scorso in siti appena al di fuori dei confini del Parco, sono oggi probabilmente estinti a causa delle gravi manomissioni subite dal loro habitat. Abstract: Within the Project “animal Biodiversity Monitoring in the alpine Environment” the Orthoptera fauna has been studied in a three- year period (2013-2015). The first check-list of the protected area, with ecological and biogeographical notes, is presented. We found 40 species (16 Ensifera, 24 Caelifera), corresponding to 11% of the Italian Orthoptera fauna. a geographic differentiation in species distribution among the three areas (alto adige - BZ, Trentino - TN and Lombardy - BS and SO) has been detected. The genus Barbitistes is represented by B. ser- ricauda in alto adige and B. alpinus in Trentino and Lombardy. Kisella irena is restricted to Peio and Rabbi Valleys only, in connection with this species distribution in Trentino. Within the Park, Euthystira brachyptera is distributed only in Lombardy, despite its habitat is apparently extensively available also in Trentino and alto adige. We found Omocestus haemorrhoidalis and Chorthippus vagans only in Val Venosta (BZ). Only two species, previously reported for the study area, has not been detected during our surveys: Celes variabilis and Ruspolia nitidula. The first site of presence of Tettigonia caudata, rare in Italy, within the Park boundaries has been discovered near Martello (BZ). Two endangered taxa of high conservation value, Epacromius tergestinus ponticus and Crysochraon dispar, reported in the last Century just outside the Park boundaries, are probably extinct today due to habitat loss. ALEXANDER Museum of Zoology and Departmentof Zoology The Universityof Michigan,Ann Arbor ABSTRACT Seven general kinds of life cycles are known among crickets; they differ chieff,y in overwintering (diapause) stage and number of generations per season, or diapauses per generation. Some species with broad north-south ranges vary in these respects, spanning wholly or in part certain of the gaps between cycles and suggesting how some of the differences originated. Species with a particular cycle have predictable responses to photoperiod and temperature regimes that affect behavior, development time, wing length, bod)• size, and other characteristics. Some polymorphic tendencies also correlate with habitat permanence, and some are influenced by population density. Genera and subfamilies with several kinds of life cycles usually have proportionately more species in temperate regions than those with but one or two cycles, although numbers of species in all widely distributed groups diminish toward the higher lati­ tudes. The tendency of various field cricket species to become double-cycled at certain latitudes appears to have resulted in speciation without geographic isolation in at least one case. Intermediate steps in this allochronic speciation process are illustrated by North American and Japanese species; the possibility that this process has also occurred in other kinds of temperate insects is discussed. A total of 60 species of orthopteroid insects were identified, belonging to 58 genera from 17 families and 5 orders. Mantids are represented by 3 families, 6 genera and 6 species; cockroaches – by 2 families, 2 genera and 2 species; earwigs – by 3 families, 3 genera and 3 species; sticks insects – by 1 family, 1 genus and 1 species. Orthopterans are most numerous (8 families, 46 genera and 48 species). Of these, three species, Bolivaria brachyptera, Hierodula tenuidentata and Ceraeocercus fuscipennis, are listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Celes variabilis and Chrysochraon dispar indicated for the first time for a given location. The fauna of orthopteroid insects in the studied areas of Kyzylorda is compared with other regions of Kazakhstan.

Deze dieren hadden minimale afmetingen en waren vrijwel altijd van een donker-blauwgroene kleur. Het analis-cubitalis foto of veld (a, 5) was eveneens donkergroen, zeer don- kerbruin. Chobanov Abstract After a revision of available Orthoptera collections in Bulgaria, 9 species with one subspecies are added and 15 species and one subspecies are omitted from the list of Bulgarian fauna. A supplement to the description and a diagnosis of Iso- phya pavelii Brunner von Wattenwyl (= Isophya rammei Peshev, syn.n.) is presented. Full reference and distributional data for Bulgaria are given for 31 taxa. Oscillograms and frequency spectra of the songs of Barbitistes constrictus, Isophya pavelii and I. rectipennis are presented. Zusammenfassung Im Rahmen einer Durchsicht der verfügbaren Orthopterensammlungen in Bzlgarien wurden in die Gesamtliste der bulgarischen Fauna insgesamt neun Arten und eine Unterart neu aufgenommen sowie 15 Arten und eine Unterart von der Liste gestrichen. In der vorleigenden Arbeit werden von 31 Taxa die Refe- renz- und Verbreitungsdaten aus Bulgarien aufgelistet. Für Isophya pavelii Brun- ner von Wattenwyl (= Isophya rammei Peshev, syn.n.) erfolgt eine Ergänzung der Artbeschreibung und Differenzialdiagnose. Die Stridulationen von Barbitistes constrictus, Isophya pavelii und Isophya rectipennis werden als Frequenzspek- tren und Oszillogramme dargestellt. Introduction After a nearly 20-years break in the active studies on Orthoptera of Bulgaria, in the last years few works were published (POPOV et al. 2001, CHOBANOV 2003, ANDREEVA 2003, HELLER &LEHMANN 2004, POPOV &CHOBANOV 2004, POPOV 2007, ÇIPLAK et al. 2007) adding new faunistic and taxonomic data on the order in this country. POPOV (2007), incorporating all the published information on Or- thoptera from Bulgaria up to date, including some unpublished data, counted 239 taxa for the country (221 species and 18 subspecies).
